Berkeley Heights Dental Group opened in January of 2004. Since then, our goal has been to provide great quality dentistry customized to fit the individual needs of our patients and their families. We believe in providing a personal touch catered toward the individual's needs. As a home-office, we are part of the community and treating patients as friends and neighbors is very important to us.

Since 2004, Berkeley Heights Dental Group has grown from a brand new office to serving the dental needs of over 4500 patients. Most of our patients hail from Berkeley Heights, Chatham, Gillette, New Providence, Warren, and Watchung. However some patients seek our care from Arizona, Pennsylvania, Florida, the Carolinas, and as far away as Europe and South America.
Services
Your dental insurance coverage is a benefit usually provided by an employer. This means that the employer decides what treatment is to be covered by the policy and what is not. The insurance then honors the parameters of the policy. As is the case with most insurance policies, some items are hidden within the "fine print".
Fillings are considered a routine procedure for a dental office. Instead of old silver based amalgams, Berkeley Heights Dental Group places Light Cured Resin and Glass Ionomer restorations to cure the teeth of cavities. These instructions will help you feel more comfortable once the procedure has been completed.
Following a deep cleaning procedure, some patients might have some concerns as to what is to be expected following their appointment. These instructions will help you feel more comfortable and aid in the goal of creating healthy gums. Your gums may become "achy" or sore following the procedure. Ibuprophen (Advil, Motrin) and Acetominophen (Tylenol) work best to eliminate any discomfort or swelling caused by inflammation.
Root canal therapy is a procedure to retain a compromised tooth. Although it can be a tedious procedure, it is responsible for saving many teeth from extraction. These instructions will help you feel more comfortable once the procedure has been completed. When the anesthesia wears off there may be some tooth sensitivity due to inflammation in the area of the tooth that was worked on.
Following a dental extraction procedure, some patients might have some concerns as to what is to be expected following their appointment. These instructions will help you feel more comfortable and aid in the goal of creating a healthy oral environment. It is normal for an area to bleed following a dental extraction.

Dr. Ryan Pelcher is a reliable, honest and caring dentist. He and his staff are always welcoming and professional. The office is immaculate and is decorated nicely for all seasons. The atmosphere has a relaxing feel and can help set the most nervous patient at ease. BHDG has the highest level of standards for patient care and cleanliness standards.
