I have been with TWA since 1988 and think it's a wonderful company. I always have great customer respect and prompt, friendly service. I am a 25 year (retired) army vet and I would definitely recommend this company to any SERIOUS investor.

my husband has had Trans World Assurance since 1989, they have good telephone service reps and they pay a great interest rate, the longer you are with them the higher your rate gets.

First, I have had Transworld for almost three years and it seemed ok. However recently I called the company and an employee named Jenny answered. From the very start she was the most unprofessional customer service representative I’ve ever talked with in my life. She started the conversation with the most annoyed “hello???” Ever. I understand that people especially customer service reps deal with hundreds of rude people daily so I tried to ignore it and move on. However, I started asking about canceling my policy and so in’s and out of my plan to which she raised her voice passively aggressive

Customer service over the phone is horrible. Talking over me, not listening to my issues, etc. Then there is the issue with how they process information. They process requests through paper forms and send through standard mail. Although there are a couple things you can do online, it seems they make it difficult on purpose. It took over a week to receive a withdrawal form and took them two weeks to process and send a check (through snail mail). Needless to say I closed this account and will be going with a better company even though that will not be hard to accomplish.

WOW!! I can't believe the negative reviews I've read here. I enrolled in 1998 and 23 year's later had a 50k nest egg. Hated to have to dip into it but in these lean times it was there for me. Things I would change. Direct deposit for withdrawal instead of a mailed check. With the USPS being so unreliable maybe FedEx.

This place is a scam. Do not use them. Anyone who tells you different is lying. They prey on young soldiers that don't understand insurance (myself included) and they take your money with the promise of "big returns on your investment after 10 years" and "a great insurance policy that you can borrow against later in life."
If you really want whole life insurance, there are far better companies for it. Don't trust these scammers.

If you're happy opening a policy and never having to talk to anyone about it, they're fine. If the website decides to work they're usually pretty good at getting withdrawal requests out in about a week.
That's where the positives have ended. You can't view your policy online. If you call to ask for a copy to be sent all they'll send is a summary. To get a full copy you have to request it in writing.
With the limited access, pretty much zero contact, and little to no real customer service I've decided to cancel mine after more than 10 years. At least the rep gave me the information I had to send

I have been with them for about eight years. These bad reviews are due to lack of education on the product. I can agree the website needs work but I have been receiving about 5% interest a year which is now paying for my policy. Now everything I put in is my own. Yes, you do pay for a policy and I paid abut $1,500 overall after my interest earned but these things take time. All the bad reviews weren't in it for the long haul. I think $1,500 for eight years of a large life insurance policy is a great deal and now i'm finally seeing the fruits because now i'm earning back interest on what I put in

I used to work for TWA for years. I purchased a policy and have been happy with it. I have been able to withdraw money from my accumulation fund with no problem. The 4% guarantee is better than what my bank pays. I have read some other reviews, but I can tell you as a former agent and military veteran that this product is no scam. You may have had an awful agent. I actually went through a divorce and switched banks. I forgot I had the policy and it was in an extended term period. The company let me catch up three years worth of premiums and keep the policy. I still actively sell insurance for other

I cannot stress enough how much I would avoid this company at all costs. They suckered me in when I was a young, naive active duty service member and I "invested" hundreds of dollars per month for 5 years... Thousands of dollars. They tell you that the money is yours and you can borrow from your accumulation fund; that is a lie. I tried to do that and they cited a reason to change the status of my policy so I couldn't. I tried to cancel my policy and get my money back; they revoked my login information from their website and told me to call a number that either rings once and then goes dead or
