Services
Kathleen Serafin started Specialized Insurance Assistance (SIA) over twenty-five years ago out of the basement of her home. While working as office manager for a private physician and consulting for a medical equipment supply company and institutional pharmacy, Kathy saw a needed service for the elderly.
Provider Plus, Inc. has ten locations in Illinois, Kansas and Missouri. Our St. Louis headquarters on Watson Road is home to our largest medical equipment showroom. Most Provider Plus locations have showrooms where you can view and trial lift chairs, walkers, wheelchairs, scooters, incontinence supplies and a wide range of bath items such as transfer benches, raised toilet seats, grab bars, commodes and shower chairs.

Fantastic! I am so thankful for this young man that came out to look at my oxygen concentrator. New main filter was replaced, new washers. Also another regulator for portables! He gave us better information than anyone else ever did in the 5 yrs. that I have been with this company. I'm sorry we didn't get your name but we appreciate him. He needs a bonus or a raise! So thankful he showed up a day earlier!

Satan rules through the billing department aka customer service.
Since the buy-out, we paid a bill through our banking bill pay- as we have always done- for 33.18 in August and one for 71.10 In October. The first bill wasn't cashed until Dec 1st! The second check hasn't been cashed, yet. They have no record, of course, of us even owing 33.18 let alone paying it. I called right away & they lied and said they'd rectify it. Instead, they tacked on a $15. Late charge. After 6 calls to customer service, speaking to the original Rhett, then Scarlett, a Jake, a Maverick, and 2 others

Provider Plus took an order for a hospital bed for my sister who was coming home from the hospital the next day. We had a 2 hour appointment window set up in the afternoon of the day she was coming home. When the two hour window had passed and I had not heard from the company, I contacted Provider Plus only to find that they didn't have a bed for my sister as they rented them all out to other customers. I was not happy! Their answer was to look at other companies and they could possible get me one 3 days later. So now my sister is coming home and I have no bed for her. I am trying to

If you call the 314 number, you get the central office and must be transferred to the local office. I received my machine from them some years ago, but asked my doctor's office to send authorization just in case. Used to be happy with this company for my cpap supplies, however now you can't call them because of new ownership. I ordered supplies on Dec 8 and 2 wrong orders later.....still don't have the correct supplies (now it's Dec 31st). This company has went downhill so fast and I recommend that all customers consider looking someplace else for supplies because this company has lost all of it's integrity. But all we'll see will be the typical response of "we apologize for blah blah, we take customer service blah blah". I will go elsewhere or just buy on Amazon.

If there were a minus rating I'd give these clowns a -5 review. From the get-go, when I desperately needed oxygen due to severe lung damage from COVID, they were awful. Double billing, incorrect billing, long wait times when calling, no help when I finally got through. No help in getting equipment, you take what they send. I got so thoroughly fed up that I bought my own oxygen concentrators, That's a lot of $$$ for something I'm supposed to get free from Medicare! Five months after returning their equipment and making a final payment, I received bill from them!! My case

My wife and I received the best customer service ever from Amanda who went above and beyond to provide equipment and the coordination she provided between the doctor, hospital social services, PT and insurances. Not only did she coordinate everything she expedited the delivery of the equipment with my wife’s discharge. Amanda was a Angel in her demeanor and professionalism. Horrible company!! My CPAP machine started giving issues inside the warranty period. I was asked to give it to them so they could ship is to the manufacturer (shipping on me). Also, I got a loaner machine for 60 bucks a month. Yes, the machine broke down in the warranty period but I have to pay for the loaner. It has been 6 weeks, at least 10 phone calls and I was told yesterday they it took them 6 weeks to ship the machine to the manufacturer. It is a scam, they are charging me monthly for the loaner so they are delaying the whole process. And yes -- "Supply chain disruption is the cause" was

Shocking service. I've been a customer for 14 years and received good service over those years. Provider Plus is under new ownership and has gone to the dogs. A classic case of management that manages from miles away and has no idea what's going on in reality. I have made several calls and left voicemails with no return answer over two days. Well....I'm at over an hour trying to get CPAP history I need for a physical today. In the past this was easy, now I've had to call 3 different times, speak with 2 different people, spend more than 30 minutes on hold and leave 2 different voicemails.
This is the second time this has happened with them. Last time I was told they had new systems, and were trying to adjust.
I just emailed my doctor asking if there is another company in the St. Loius area I can go to.

After my review of 9/14 I spoke with the customer service manager about my experience; she told me that for what I wanted I didn't need an appointment.
I went back today, again about 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged me.
This time I was told that they have a lot more masks than those on display and that I really should make an appointment for a fitting. Why was I not told this up front or given a fitting when I first went there to get my CPAP?
Obviously, the concerns that I expressed to the manager went nowhere.

My neurologist’s office faxed a script for a motorized wheelchair over a month ago. I never heard back from Provider Plus, so I followed up with a phone call. When I didn’t get a call back, I called again left another message. Nothing. On my third attempt, I got to speak to Ashley who couldn’t find the paperwork. She indicated she was going on vacation the following week, but would call me back on Friday with an update. When I hadn’t heard from her by 4:00 p.m. I called her and got the “I’m on vacation” message. I left a brief message in case someone was monitoring her calls. No one

Placed an cpap supply order approximately 2 weeks ago. Called to check on my order sales rep said the order should have been made through their cpap supply # . Not sure how I was supposed to know that, she kind of blamed it on new personnel. Called cpap order # and sales rep said they would check to see if the could send overnight. So very frustrating. As of this moment I couldn’t recommend them, we’ll see if they overnight my supplies. I’m a CDL Truck Driver I need these supply to preform my job safely. This rating is for two employees... not the company as a whole as it's been up and down with them. But I don't want the good employees to suffer from other bad experiences. Peter and Kevin have were exceptional in helping me trouble shoot and eventually exchange a portable oxygen machine when I needed it. They were courteous and efficient when it became evident that the machine itself was malfunctioning, they tested another one and it worked fine. So now we are good to go again and don't have to stress about it not working while out and about.

I am a Home Health therapist and use this company a lot for my home patients. I cannot believe that they are still in business because if they were a Home Health agency they wouldn't be. No patients would put up with the lack of professionalism or integrity, poor communication, disorganization and bad business practices. I put this squarely on the shoulders of the owner and upper management. The employees are stressed out and the office is a disaster. Not clean and completely chaotic. They have a niche and they know it. So, there is no incentive to improve. Hopefully enough of these poor ratings

The staff that answers the phone to take orders is pretty darn rude. Same problem every time I call. I rarely get someone that is nice and offers good customer support. I am going to look into changing companies. Just wanted to let people in charge know that you should start monitoring you phone calls if you care about your business.

These people are liars. I have been given 2 different prices with a week's time in writing on a CPAP machine. I returned everything and brought a used machine from them for $300 and wasn't told about any other cost. I get a bill for $225 for mask and hose and a heating element that's built into the machine I brought and other parts that came with the machine I paid cash for. I hate this place and if I don't get all my money back I will take my paperwork take my receipt conversation and sue them. Don't go to these people.

If I could give this place no stars I would. They treated me like I was a wedding crasher with no gift who tried to kiss the groom at the altar. Rodney Dangerfield would've got more respect that I did today. (May he Rest In Peace.) I am a paying customer and my insurance requires me to get medical supplies here. When I went Saturday, a printed piece of said they were closed because of Covid-19. Would love to give them a negative stars. I have had problems with this place the last few times I have ordered cpap supplies. First I will never go in to this location. They have only a few people working on saturdays and it took me over an hour to get even called up to see what I needed after signing in. There were only 2 people ahead of me. This time I called and they refused to let me speak to someone that deals with cpaps. I asked to get all of the supplies I'm allowed by my insurance. Ive been using provider plus for several years now, and its continued to become more and more of a nightmare. At first, I had mixed reviews- when they were helping me set up equipment, some of the service members were helpful and others seemed rather cold. Now, several years later, they continuously confuse my address with other clients and provide me with mismatched gear. I understand that the medical field can be frustrating and confusing with insurance and such, and I have family members that work in it making me usually go out of my way to be patient and accommodating and friendly when dealing
