In 1814, some 800 Harmonists led by Father Joseph Rapp cleared thousands of acres and built a remarkably well planned village of one hundred eighty buildings on the Indiana frontier. This deeply religious, communitarian group had come from Wurttenberg, Germany, to Pennsylvania in 1803 and relocated to the Indiana Territory, where they established the town of Harmony.

Great place to have a reception, beautiful building. Just keep in mind you’ll have to do almost all the work yourself or hire people, the rental fee pretty much only covers the building, tables and chairs, maybe a few other small things. You’ll have to buy or rent table cloths, plates, utensils, decor, etc. You have to get security and insurance if you want alcohol, you have to hire servers unless you want to be clearing and cleaning plates yourself. So if you’re fine with all that, the building is 5 star, but all that work seems maybe not worth it to me.

Wedding Reception Venue
The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Every one of our guests was floored by the building's beauty and charm. Unfortunately, the management is difficult to work with at best.
Our date was double booked, tables were not in proper places, and vendors were given the run-around. Still, we were able to push through all of those issues and have the reception of our dreams.
