This is one of my favorite places to shop! Every time I stop by, I find something new to catch my eye, something that just has to go home with me! The owner is awesome and does a great job of bringing in special items at reasonable prices! One word of caution, if you see something you like, buy it right then because it will be gone the next time you go in.

The Memory Cottage is the best hidden treasure in Brunswick County! I found it when I moved to Ocean Isle Beach 5 years ago and I should have my own parking space there! Emily Gore is the new owner and she brings a fresh eye to this unique gem! Though it seems hidden, I’ve made many lunch break runs for a little “retail therapy “! My office is literally filled with Memory Cottage finds from beautiful pieces of furniture I use for linen storage to cute wire baskets with buoy lights, a vintage 3 tier stand that holds all my oils to one of their newest lines of essential oil diffusers. My go to place for hostess gifts and anything beachy and clever. Latest trip I find a tool that will peel, devein, and butterfly shrimp in one motion. Previous trip I brought home bookends of a mermaid created from dozens of pieces of driftwood, none more than an inch long. Didn't need it, but had to have it. The napkin rings made of oyster shells on an elasticized band are guaranteed hits.
Emily is terrific to chat with, in addition to having a great eye for the items in her store.
