Services
Small, lovely and personal, Wild Fish is an absolute "must" when visiting this part of the northern California coast (unless, of course, you just don't care for fish). In addition to the personable English owner and his charming American wife - and in addition to a fine local wine list - and in addition to excellent vegetables and bread and all that -- this place really knows how to prepare and serve fish.

Love this place. Best fish restaurant I have been to in a long time. The staff is second to none. Great people great food. Love the ambiance. Jazz in the background what a nice touch. Juan Carlos was our server he did an awesome job made our experience there delightful. The entire staff was amazing. I am not sure my wife could say more about how much she loved the Ahi Tuna. Every now and then you have a dining experience that stands out this was it.
Thank you Wild Fish w a great night.

My husband and I were walking last week to have lunch at another restaurant when we came across Wildfish. We decided to stop and give it a try based on what we sneaked a peek at on others plates. We were not disappointed. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. Christian our waiter was attentive and gave great service. Only consideration was the $6 cup of hot tea. Seemed a bit pricy, however it was quality tea, which was appreciated. Thank you Wildfish for an outstanding lunch. I'm glad we were enticed to stop. We will be visiting again. Oh and fun bit... the fishing captain and area in

Summary:
Alright, albeit fresh, ocean eats
Details:
* Fresh seafood dishes that were hit or miss
* Highlights included their smoked fish chowder and heirloom tomato salad
* Mussels were decent, half roasted cod (shown on the menu as the whole fish, but available in a half portion) was dry
* Live music was far too loud, and we weren't told there was a per person service charge for this at any point, until we saw the bill
Accessibility:
Outdoor seating is accessible, while the indoors appeared (from the outside, at least) to be a bit tight on space
Comment Clarifications:
* We visited several

Wild Fish is a great restaurant and one of the best in Pacific Grove. The food is fresh, local and delish. However, the prices are very high. The server neglected to tell hubby that the small bowl of mushroom soup was $22 or that they had just been harvested that day. That was a shocker, all in all!
We had some wines by the glass, all very good, but also a little pricey.
Make this a special occasion restaurant or if traveling through PG, then dole out a large sum of cash to check out Wild Fish.

Thus was such a great little find! The food was excellent, the ambiance was great on the patio and our server was fabulous. We got the sablefish, fingerling potatoes, and house bread to split, and each got a chowder. The portions were well-sized and everything tasted great. Parking also was easy for us on a Tuesday night, we were able to pull into a spot right in front of the restaurant.

We have been to Wild Fish several times this month, and both the food and service are simply amazing! We are working our way through the menu, with the bouillabaisse being our favorite so...but still have more dishes to try.
They focus on fresh, local, sustainable ingredients in their dishes, with local wines that pair perfectly. There is even a sign with details on where the key ingredients were sourced.
If you are looking for a phenomenal meal, we highly recommend Wild Fish!

Excellent quality food. Restaurant closely resembles a typical Parisian bistro. Servers are all top notch professionals.
Interesting wine list. A bit pricey.
Bambie had the seafood stew. The liquid was white fish broth based, no red tomatoes. My sablefish was super moist silky smooth.
Serving portions are on the smallish side.
Servers and the owners checked-in with us to ask about our happiness with the meal. We assured them that all was delicious and made us happy.
4 glasses of wine, one soup (Evening special smoked mushroom, unique. Shockingly priced at $22). One salad, the aforementioned

This was the highlight meal of our weekend away in Pacific Grove. We visited on a Friday and enjoyed the live jazz, warm welcome and check-in throughout the meal by the owners, very friendly waitstaff and the food and wine pairing were delicious. The whole cooked fish was on the dry side but I think it was the type of fish. The fish collar special-of-the-day appetizer was remarkable (never had anything that delectable). I loved people watching too. Everyone enjoyed their food, the company and the camaraderie of the wait staff and music performers demonstrated the trust and care they have for each

Miyagi Oysters - Fresh, nice-tasting Pacific oysters that originated from Miyagi prefecture in Japan.
Bouillabaisse - I normally would not ask to split a dish but my friend wanted to try this soup so I had requested to have it divvied up and served in two bowls. I would have enjoyed this traditional Provençal fish stew a lot more had the content been distributed equally - I had one shrimp, a couple of mussels with a few pieces of fish while my friend's bowl had 3x more seafood. It was a clear oversight on the part of the restaurant.
Sablefish - Well-seasoned and cooked deep-sea fish from

I wish I had written this closer to when we went.
incredible oysters- luscious, nice brine, small, meaty and fresh
knowledgable staff who could speak to the origin of the seafood
Remarkable drink menu
Incredibly talented young chef with truly unique and creative ideas and flavors - such as smoked pepper sauces and unusual pairings that sung on the tastebuds
live music and great service, hands down my favorite restaurant in the last couple years!

Amazing seafood. Most options are locally caught, which is nice. The salmon special was some of the best prepared I've ever eaten and the sauce perfectly complemented it without overpowering it. The tuna was also fantastic. Dinner is definitely better than lunch, but less kid friendly.
Was so good we went a second night and was just as impressed as the first time. Probably my current favorite seafood place and definitely the best meal we've had in PG.

Wild Fish has beautiful outdoor seating in the heart of Pacific Grove. Our server was helpful with our complicated order that included several different menu items for dine in as well as take out. The fish and chips were delectable as were the oysters and I was especially impressed by the presentation of the food. I will definitely be coming back for more.

How have I missed this little gem in Pacific Grove? What a delight. An extensive wine list featuring two of my favorites Albarino and Viognier.
I ordered The Fish and Chips ($25.) served with simply the best potato fries I have ever tasted! In addition there's a small side of pickled fennel and pickled red cabbage that was the perfect accompaniment.
The portion is enough for a small army. The rock cod was so fresh it must've been caught that morning and is lightly fried to perfection. I'm an East Coast gal and I love whitefish and this was some of the best I've ever tasted

The meal was super fresh and the service was fantastic! My only complaint is that the ketchup, tuna and glaze were a bit flavorless. The presentation was beautiful but it fell flat with taste. The people with me got the halibut and seemed to really like that though. Overall I’d recommend. Also, the fish and chips that everyone raves about is only available at lunch.

Fresh and delicious Seafood restaurant
We came here at around 8:30pm, there was a live band playing comforting Jazz. The restaurant looks very cozy and very busy at the time. We set down in the outdoor seating and it was nice and warm.
There were 3 dishes that they ran out of, so I settled with King Salmon and The seafood stew. The king salmon is nice, skin is really crispy and it was medium well, which is my favorite, but I would not say I'm impressed with the taste of it. The fish itself is fresh but the sautéed vegetables tasted a bit too greasy.

What a fantastic find! We arrived without a reservation and thankfully the host was able to accommodate us at nice outdoor table for two that was perfect for our date night. We started with the fresh oysters (50/50 from selection available). The waiter took his time describing the saltiness of the brine and what we should expect and he hit the nail on the head. My salad had green apple and goat cheese and a nice tangy but slightly sweet vinaigrette. Each of our fish meals were perfectly prepared with fish that was caught that day! Our meals were light enough that we indulged in dessert. We felt
