I have always loved animals and my first love has always been horses. I had a horse named Pepper when I was growing up and he was my very best friend. I was a very shy little girl so didn't have many friends to speak of, but Pepper was always there to welcome my happy, giddy smile or to give me comfort when I needed to share tears.

God's Little Critters began with a sweet little bottle-baby kitten named Kelso and a tiny, tiny Easter Bunny named Bandit. My husband and I took these two little guys everywhere there would be kids - church functions, events where ministries were reaching out, which led to retirement homes and wherever else we felt God was leading us.
When my kids were in elementary school, I wanted to start a pony ride business to make enough money to stay home with them, or just get rich. And when I say elementary school, I am talking many, many years ago. I went out and bought the cutest pony I think I had ever seen. He was a blue roan with a flowing black mane and tail.
