As a Business Coach, I work with a few select people in business who want to improve their results. Whether in startup mode or operating for years, these are the business owners, professionals and executives who want to exceed their goals, not just meet their needs; who want to work on their business instead of in their business.

They are ready to take action and they expect a return on their investment of time, effort and money. They want a trusted advisor they can count on to help with creative ideas, honest feedback - and measurable results. Coaching is a process, not a formula. What's amazing about working together is that people begin to feel the progress they are making.

Lake County Business Coaching, Inc. was founded in 2005 by Dave Ferguson in Libertyville, Illinois. Prior to launching this business, Dave was Operations Manager for Carlson Design/Construct Corporation in their Chicago office. He was responsible for hiring and training staff, establishing and managing budgets, exceeding clients' expectations, and strategic planning for the future.
So many choices, so little time. You know your results could be better, but what action should you take right now to make it so? Let's look at it together. We offer 30 minute complimentary telephone consultations. We'll talk about where you are now and where you want to be in your business. We'll talk about the things that need to be done to reach your goals.
Starting a business is exciting. Part of that excitement is knowing the risks you are about to take - and the potential rewards. When I meet with people I often tell them that my role is to help them to be successful and, more importantly, to help them to keep from failing. That means having a plan, recognizing the risks, and making sure you can fund the startup phase of the business.
Got a Plan? Most of the business owners I work with, and talk to, tell me they don't have time to create a plan for the coming year. Yet they complain about the sales opportunities they have missed, their inability to hire the right people, the lack of time to connect with past customers, and the money they've spent on marketing that hasn't paid off.
It's hard to read everything, so we've listed some of the books we've found particularly helpful or motivating. The Invisible Touch by Harry Beckwith, the second book addressing the subject, continues the discussion by focusing on how to elevate your performance to enhance the client's experience and improve your results.
