This weekend was my second visit in two months and both times staying here have been amazing. The first time I visited here was with my parents to celebrate a birthday weekend and bike the creeper trail. I loved everything about my stay. The rooms are so cozy, clean, and beautifully furnished.
This weekend my mother and I came back with friends and had the best time. The breakfast was delicious and the history we get to hear during breakfast is very cool too.
We cannot wait to come back :)

My first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and I’m totally sold on the idea now. The home is beautiful with lovely antiques at every turn. The host/hostess were friendly and welcoming and educated us on the history of the house and property. The breakfast was outstanding and the homemade jams were a real treat. Please consider this Bed and Breakfast, you will not be disappointed.

Property, room, and especially the hosts were exceptional...amenities included and breakfast were amazing as well...James and Connie were gracious hosts and their history in the area and family stories of the house make this more than just a random B and B experience. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back ourselves.

The Milsap-Baker Estate is beautifully appointed. We stayed in the extremely spacious honeymoon suite. Upon our late arrival, the hosts left a detailed note explaining where we could find numerous drinks and snacks and other helpful information about the house that helped us to make ourselves at home. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous!

What a find! Peaceful, rural, charming, yet only 12 miles from the highway. The rooms are furnished in beautiful antiques (we loved the Bay Room, with the domed ceiling), the breakfast was delicious, and the host knowledgeable and generous. (Also, the nearby town of Damascus is delightful.)

My daughters & I needed a room for 4. The honeymoon suite fit the bill. We were satisfied with the price and happy to have a room, but my daughter's allergies bothered her all night and it was OK but we would probably go somewhere else next time we visit. I would have been disappointed in the room, had I actually come here for a honeymoon as it seems like a bit of an assortment of random items in the room, and that's just not my thing.. We did not meet our host because of our late arrival and had to leave before 8:30 so we did not stay for breakfast, so I cannot comment on those aspects.

My wife and I stayed three nights at the Millsap-Baker Bed and Breakfast. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The hosts are gracious, knowledgeable and the amenities were excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the location is quiet. It is located in quaint Damascus and very close to the Virginia Creeper Trail. I would heartily recommend a stay at this location.

The house is like an antiques museum of curiosities. Breakfast at the banquet table in the kitchen will be one of the best memories of your trip. The hosts gladly accommodate different diets and provide coffee and stimulating discourse to wake you up. Overflowing with character. Beds have very soft mattresses.

What makes an exceptional B&B? Experience a night or longer at the Millsap-Baker Estate. The owners, James and Connie, are welcoming but allowed us to quietly go to our rooms as we arrived late. Exceptional accommodations in the kitchen, our room and also breakfast the next morning was five star! They are extremely educated yet down to earth and the conversation at the table was as if you had known them both for years! Beautiful old home, history and only one (1) mile from Damascus 'central.' Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!! Michele

My wife and I stayed here as part of a trip to Damascus riding the Virginia Creeper Trail. We arrived late after hours and found a friendly welcoming note, lights on, directions to our room, everything laid out and prepared perfectly. There was complimentary fruit, snacks and wine which we enjoyed out on the back deck. We met the other guests chatting like family and were immediately invited to join in. Somehow the beautiful welcoming accommodations and friendly hosts foster a sense of community and we enjoyed the evening like we had known each other for years.

The rates are very reasonable

My girlfriend and I were driving through Damascus (my favorite hiker-town, period) and needed a place to stay. As a hiker, I "love" the fun of staying in hostels and small holes in the ground whenever I can - however, as I was here on business we decided to find a more proper place to lay our heads. We had no predetermined destination, so we browsed around online until we stumbled across the Millsap-Baker - and am I ever-so-glad we did! We called roughly an hour in advance and still they accommodated us on the fly. The estate is a little off the beaten path, but trust the directions

If it were possible to rate zero stars I would. This was my number one choice for my upcoming wedding in June. After speaking with Connie (the owner) multiple times on October 5th we along with our families had booked a tour of the estate for October 19th to discuss their wedding packages. We had already decided just from the pictures this was the place for us so we already had a check in hand, ready to sign a contract the same day. I called on the evening of October 18th to confirm our appointment and was told by Connie she had no history of our calls or correspondence. My name didn't even

I stayed here last night and it was such an amazing experience! I was greeted when I came in, even though it was quite late and was offered wine, water, soda, and snacks, all complimentary, and then I was shown my room. It was very cute and very clean. Everything in the house was gorgeous and the location was picturesque. The only downside is that if you have AT&T you get no cell service, but there is wifi. They also had TV and a roku as well as a DVDS player and collection. They had a delicious breakfast prepared for me at 8:30 and the owner was great to chat with! If you are in this area
