Back in 1986, Larry Davis Sr. and his brother were working cleaning out basements, garages and delivering furniture from stores in Nashville. One day Larry was asked to help a local man move and realized an opportunity. He soon bought his own truck and started Music City Movers in Nashville.

Music City Movers took a day we were dreading and made it awesome. We did what we call the "Great Furniture Swap". Moving furniture from our home to our son's then from our daughter's back to our home. It involved several heavy pieces and stairs at all three homes. Everything was wrapped,
protected and reassembled in it's new home. They even helped me put the bed skirt on. Highly recommend Music City Movers!

Larry and his team from Music City Movers were incredible to work with! We decided last minute to get assistance moving and called on Sunday for a move on Tuesday. Music City Movers were able to schedule me in quickly for the day and time we requested. They arrived exactly when they said they would and called me on arrival. They were very friendly and professional. They were able to load up our apartment plus two small storage units in 2.5 hours. They unloaded the truck just as efficiently and helped assemble whatever we asked and moved a lot of boxes down our narrow basement stairs as well. If

If you are moving, you need to call them!!! The BEST moving experience we have EVER had!!! The guys are on time, professional, went above and beyond and are so careful with your belongings and home!!! We were building a new home and we had to move the date a couple of times and they could not have been more gracious or accommodating! HIGHLY recommend them!!!

I used Music City Movers to move from a high rise condo into a house. I will start out with the positives. They are very good with communication. Emails/calls were responded to very quickly. They are extremely careful with your property and wrap every item. Now on to the negatives. My condo has a loading dock and maintenance elevator that I reserved for the move. They arrived in a truck and trailer, not a moving truck so the dock could not be used. This resulted in a much longer move than expected because they had to park on the street. The move was less than 3 miles so there really was no travel

These guys did a really good job. I read through a lot of the other reviews of moving companies and many were pretty awful. I called around a did some price comparisons, and Music City's pricing was slightly less than the others I looked at. We moved a four-bedroom house worth of stuff out of a storage space and across town into a new four-bedroom house. They communicated well and worked solidly for 8 hours. I was there the whole time and would have seen if anything did not seem to be going well. They were originally fifteen minutes late, but called me to let me know. It was also pouring

So I just wanted to take a second to rave about this guys. The day before last they came out to my storage unit and COMPLETELY EMPTIED it.i was short on funds and needed to clear it out to cut down on bills. It was easily 2 maybe 3 bedrooms worth of stuff. They brought 4 guys and a 32 ft trailer they made short work of it dispite it being completely disorganized and boxes being damaged from previous movers. Music City Movers handled our in town move this week. We had four guys and one truck. I was around all day as they loaded at the old house and unloaded at the new house. They were the most polite, careful, hardworking crew I could have imagined. They were extremely careful with all of our belongings and our new home. It was a long hot day and they were amazing. I rate music city movers as the best among the best, if you looking for someone to provide you with excellent service in the Nashville area. I first discovered them on Angie's list, where I saw that they were given an A rating. From there, I moved on to the Better Business Bureau, where I noticed that they had been in business for 33 years and were given an A+ rating. I then called their office to schedule a meeting, so that I might get an estimate for our upcoming move. Larry Davis visited us and helped us to plan our move. Can I give these guys 10 stars? If you're moving and you don't hire Music City Movers, you're doing it wrong. Larry and his crew went above and beyond during our difficult move. Our driveway is steep which didn't allow for them to get up our driveway with a trailer. Our street is a busy through street and people were honking at them and being generally terrible human beings and these guys moved the truck down to a parking lot down the way and proceeded to unload our stuff onto a pick up and drive it up to our house. So basically they had to move all of our stuff three times

This company is incredible! I called them after hiring another company that flaked on me last minute. I called Music city movers and they showed up in an hour. They were so friendly and Incredibly efficient. They wrapped and packed everything up so nothing would get broken and wouldn't move during the drive. I am so pleased and feel so blessed that they were able to come out last minute. I HIGHLY Recommend them!

I used Larry and his crew 4 years ago and am booking now for an upcoming move. They were the best!!! Pleasant, took great care of my belongings (not one bit of damage), worked quickly and efficiently.
2/2017 Edit: The second move went far better than expected. The crew had to carry each box and piece of furniture up a long flight of steps, lift it over a knee wall, then go down two steps into my condo. They did it without one complaint and there wasn't the slightest damage caused to any furniture or wall. I tipped them well!!!
