At ReCon we understand that having great gravity retaining wall products is not enough. We combine our large retaining wall block system with knowledge, tools, and testing that allows us to deliver a wall solution, not just a good block. ReCon prides itself in using its knowledge and experience to deliver Solutions and Value to its gravity retaining wall customers.
Some retaining wall companies sell "blocks". Here at ReCon we know that our customers are purchasing a "wall" to solve a grade separation issue. We listen and work with our customers, specifiers, engineers and installers to understand their needs and their budget. Then we help identify a solution that works for them.

Recon Wall Systems was formed in 2000 by a group of six Twin Cities individuals that had a vision of capturing "returned concrete" (thus the name "ReCon") from ready-mix trucks to make a large retaining wall block. Five of the founders had a "construction" background, including expertise in the concrete finishing business and in the hardscape construction business.

We know that proper design of a precast concrete modular block retaining wall is a critical step in the completion of a successful retaining wall. A final design prepared and stamped by a licensed professional is required on most commercial and governmental projects. ReCon has conducted the required testing and can provide engineers with the information they need to design retaining walls in accordance with current accepted design standards.
The design charts provided by ReCon are an excellent guide to quickly determine the wall height capabilities of the ReCon system in varying site and soil conditions.
