Villa Monticello Assisted Living, is an all inclusive worry free alternative to dementia care of your loved ones, where they are treated like our family. We offer 24 hour awake care, personal assistance and supervision. We are licensed by the State of California to exclusively care for only 29 residents of different types and stages of dementia, and memory care.

We provide continuity of care which includes end of life care supported by hospice service in a peaceful and dignified setting. We are located in the rolling hills of Escondido, dotted with matured oak trees, a vineyard, a white picket fence and open blue skies. Villa Monticello offers a unique and distinctive landscape and Italian inspired architecture.
Services
Villa Monticello was established in 2014. It is owned and managed by a small privately-owned company with almost 20 years of experience in Dementia care. The management of Villa Monticello is humbled to have been given the opportunity and trust by numerous families in almost two decades caring and serving seniors who suffer from Dementia.
With the understanding that each resident is unique and requires a different level of care, we take the time to carefully complete a pre-admission assessment prior to accepting any resident in order to create an effective plan of care that will meet their individual and personal needs.

Our plan of care for each resident is a collaborative effort between the facility staff, family members, and other interdisciplinary professionals such as physical therapists, and home health care professionals. We regularly evaluate the needs of each person to ensure they continue to receive consistent and quality care.
Villa Monticello recognizes the financial stress and burden of caring for your loved ones suffering from Dementia so we created a simple cost and time-saving value of bundling up the amount of care, services, and basic supplies into one All-Inclusive Rate.

This stress-free All-Inclusive Basic Care includes care, services, and basic supplies that allows the family to budget and plan all the financial aspects of care for their loved one with NO hidden cost, NO surprise charges, and NO nickel and dime tactics.
If there are conditions that require additional special care and supervision, it will be determined after initial assessment. The following conditions may be considered depending on the level of provision required, and if we are able to properly accommodate the individual. We engage our residents in meaningful activities to help maintain their functional abilities, enhance their self-esteem, and provide social interaction.
Our buildings, floor plans, and landscape were designed specifically for the types of residents who are experiencing memory, health, and mobility problems. With these residents as the focal point and inspiration, we created a layout that is simple, easy to remember, open and welcoming. It harmoniously flows from room to room with ample space for ease of movement and accessibility.

My mother has received tremendous care from an outstanding and compassionate staff. They have made this difficult time in her life as enjoyable as humanly possible. The facility has such a comfortable “just like home” atmosphere. Would highly recommend for quality memory care for your senior loved ones.

I'm not much of a review person as a matter of fact I think this is my first ever Google review! I wanted to take this time though to post this review of Villa Monticello.
We moved my dad here January 1st 2019 not long after my mom passed and dad's memory became worse and worse and it became very difficult to manage him at my sister's home. We struggled mightily to find a home for him where we felt he would be comfortable and well cared for AND a place we like too!
Well he's been living at Monticello for nearly 1 1/2 years now and we are so pleased. They take such good care of him AND us! He

My mother is a resident at Monticello. I have found the staff to be very caring and attentive to the resident's needs, in every way. I realize taking care of this population is a challenge, at best, and I know that the staff does their best. They do have on-going activities for the residents with Melissa, the activities director. They also provide high quality meals. The chef, Margaret, does an amazing job preparing everything from scratch, and she has a genuine concern for each resident's meal preferences. Monticello is a good choice for any family looking for caring, personalized care for their

My Mom was with Ruby and Orlando Dy at Villa Monticello from January 2015 until her death in June of this year (2017). I cannot begin to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the care and love my mom received from the Dy's and the staff at Villa Monticello. Mom received 24 hour care and our family was confident in the care she received. They worked with us as my mom's memory declined and her needs changed. We were able to keep my Mom at Villa Monticello, during these changing times, until her recent death. Not having to move my Mom again, was a great relief to us as a family. Villa

My father has been living there for nearly a year. I have been quite pleased with the care he receives. In addition, the staff has many activities planned through the day to engage the residents to continue to be both physically and mentally active.
The staff works diligently to provide the care tailored to the needs of each resident. I strongly recommend anyone looking for care of a loved one to consider Villa Monticello

I absolutely love Villa Monticello. My mom is 88 years old with dementia and in a wheel-chair. We have moved her 3 times in 2 years and finally have found the perfect fit. I have no complaints at all. The facility is very clean, homey, and in the most beautiful piece of property. Her room is perfect and has a door to the outside where we sit on a porch area with nice piped in music and look at the view. The staff is wonderful and very personable. They know what my mom likes and dislikes. The chef is great and makes the best meals and even plates it like you are in a 5 star restaurant. There is
