Having already contacted several asbestos removal specialists in the area, we knew immediately when we got Bob Stigsell of AHS on the phone that he was our man. Not only was Bob responsive to our questions whether on the phone or by email (he'd been the quickest to get us a very reasonable quote); he was also courteous and professional when working with us.

Federal and State laws require building owners to perform or have performed an asbestos inspection prior to a renovation, demolition or fire training burn. All asbestos inspections must be conducted by a Wisconsin certified asbestos inspector.
The asbestos building inspector will investigate all the building materials that could be impacted by the planned renovation or demolition and collect samples for testing to determine if there is any asbestos in the building product. There is no cut off date for performing asbestos surveys.

Do you need asbestos removal? Over the years, asbestos has been used in over 3,000 products, many of which were used in homes and businesses. Common products that might have contained asbestos include HVAC system insulation, pipe coverings, floor tiles, ceiling texturing, vermiculite, linoleum, slate siding, shingles, mastics, drywall and caulkings.
You can't tell whether a material contains asbestos simply by looking at it. If in doubt, treat the material as if it contains asbestos or have it sampled and analyzed by a qualified professional. A professional should take samples for analysis since a professional knows what to look for. Asbestos removal can be expensive, so if test results are negative then you may save a lot of money.
If your home or building was built before 1978, there is a good chance it has lead-based paint. In 1978, the federal government banned consumer uses of lead-containing paint, but some states banned it even earlier. Lead from paint, including lead-contaminated dust, is one of the most common causes of lead poisoning.
If mold/mildew is present in your home or workplace, it is essential that you get professional remediation services before it spreads and becomes a more serious issue. Mold thrives on moisture, and the more water & food sources, the more it is going to grow. If building materials are left damp and untreated for just 24 hours, mold can grow and have negative effects not only on your property, air quality and health.

We had flooring in our house that contained asbestos, that needed to be removed. Everyone from the office staff (Krysten) to the owner (Bob) who walked through our whole house and answered every question I had, to the staff who removed the flooring, were amazing! Very responsive, fast to schedule, and amazingly professional. I would recommend them to anyone without any hesitation!

We recently purchased a house that was in need of major asbestos abatement. Advanced Health and Safety not only took care of that but also took care of some of our demolition that was needed. Any doors and trim taken down were labeled as well, in case we wanted to reuse them. The crew followed all safety precautions, not only for us but also for themselves. I was very impressed, as was the contractor I was working with.

In the process of selling my 70+ year old home, a routine home inspection turned up unknown asbestos tape around some basement ductwork and a sealed off chimney. I wanted to quickly remediate this and was so happy I started with Advanced Health & Safety for my quote. They were able to come out to do a free inspection relatively quickly--Teo was awesome, assured me it would be okay, and even found two other areas to encapsulate that weren't found by the inspector. Rafael and Marlo were the team they deployed to do the work. Even though it was a small encapsulation job in comparison to most

Everyone we dealt with at Advanced Health was so kind and helpful! The initial phone call was super informative. When Bob came to the house, he was straightforward in letting us he did not think asbestos was present and encouraged us to test for the peace of mind. I'm so glad he did! The tests came back negative, and we were able to safely remove the tiles ourselves, knowing there would not be any negative health consequences. Not to mention, the turnaround time from phone call, to test, to results was just a couple of business days. I would highly recommend Bob and his team!

I recently purchased a home built in the 1970s, and I contacted Advanced Health and Safety to perform an asbestos inspection. I wanted to be sure about where asbestos is lurking before doing any major work on the place. I talked to Bob on the phone and made an appointment for only three days later. He explained the common areas where asbestos was used and took material samples from the drywall and insulation. Interestingly, the only sample that came back positive for asbestos was the drywall joint compound. I wasn't even aware that asbestos was used in that material.
