Services
Our family ties trace back to the property since before the land-run. With a rich history, our ancestors loved to share and document stories. The property has been passed down from generation, to generation with hopes that each descendant will serve as a "care taker" for the next generation. Change and growth is no stranger to our area.
With a beautiful natural setting, a second story for unique bird's-eye photos, indoor & outdoor options for both ceremonies & receptions, our post & beam barn is a one of a kind backdrop for memories that will last a lifetime! If the event is canceled, the full security deposit is kept. Two day rental options available with weekday or Friday rentals.
What is the event clean-up process? Client is responsible for cleaning up items brought in. Trash, linen removal, chair and table breakdown, sweeping and mopping is taken care of by The McGranahan Barn. Do you allow alcohol? Yes, alcohol is allowed on the property. A bartender/ bartending company is required and must carry Liquor Liability Insurance.
When looking for where to host our wedding, we became frustrated looking for a place that would be both elegant and laid back while fitting our large guest list. Matt and I wanted our wedding to reflect us, and as soon as we heard about McGranahan, we knew we had found our wedding location. McGranahan is breathtaking, and Maree' has been wonderful in every way.
The best decision I made when planning my wedding was booking this venue. I knew I needed a large space for a 250-300 guest count but wanted something rustic and in the OKC area. Maree and the McGranahan Barn team went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered and the wedding day went smoothly.

I can’t say enough about this venue! From the start they were so helpful. As a military bride I had to do everything from a distance. I didn’t even see the venue until the day of my wedding and they were SO accommodating to everything. Answered every single question and were always so eager to help out. The day of staff was also amazing! I had absolutely ZERO worries on my wedding day. I got so many compliments on the venue and the staff. I would recommend this to any bride looking for the perfect place for their wedding!!

***Updated Review*** I made reservations for Oct. 23 to enter as a guest. We were going to have a 1 hour family photo session on the barn. On our way to the barn our photographer suggested we contact the barn to reschedule because it was extremely windy. He locked the gate for us and told us to let him know the rescheduled date. I called the barn, spoke with someone who said, when I knew the date that I could reschedule, let them know and they would see if it was available. So, I emailed Maree with the dates I had available. She emailed back that because an employee had to come and unlock the gate

OH. MY. GOSH. I saw a picture of The McGranahan Barn on Facebook's 'Forgotten Oklahoma' and had to see the real thing for myself. Such history and true Oklahoma Pioneers, still working the farm today. The new barn near the original homestead is an event center, weddings, reunions, etc. It was made to look like the original McGranahan barn!
Mr. McGranahan came to Oklahoma BEFORE the land run, was the first postmaster in what is now Oklahoma City. The family also owned the first hotel in OKC.
As a historical buff, I so admire the legacy being honored here. Thanks to the McGranahan family.

The McGranahan Barn is the perfect location for a rustic wedding. The staff at the Barn are so wonderful and go above and beyond to help out and make sure your day is special and perfect. Thanks to Maree' and her team for helping make the Wedding Day absolutely perfect for my cousin. We loved the location and the staff!
