Mike's Garden is a full-service garden center located in South Lyon, Michigan that offers a large variety of plants and home and garden decor in a relaxing atmosphere. Michael Raney (Owner and Manager) has over 35 years of experience in growing plants. We are happy to answer any questions you have and share creative ideas for your home or garden.

We provide the highest quality plants and are committed to making your garden grow! We offer a wide selection of seasonal flowers, plants, top soil, mulch, fertilizers, and weed and insect repellents. This includes perennials, trees, and shrubs. Gardening tools and accessories like pots, shovels, and watering cans are also available to help you keep your garden looking its best.

Everytime I come here I love the selection, especially around the holidays. The succulents are always quality, and I love the variety of pots that they have! Cute cats are usually walking around, and Mike the owner is a very friendly gentleman.

Passing by Mike’s Garden so many times, today we visited this neighborhood garden & nursery store for the first time. Surprisingly it has such a vast collection of flowers, garden decos, and seasonal items, way surpassing my expectation. But clearly you can tell the business is running down, due to the pandemic impact, or the way this place been managed. A lot of seasonal flower pots are in bad shape. With such a huge inventory in such a late time of season, if I were the owner, I would have been discounting and selling all these items at 50% or even 75% off. Otherwise it would be a total loss

I spent over $200 here in plants here and more than half of my plants died. The Hoya I bought was a gift and it ended up being infested with mealy bugs. I really hope they didn’t find their way to the other plants. I will not be visiting Mikes Garden ever again. No, thank you

Not a fan. Rude workers. No greeting, no "is there anything I can help you with" NOTHING!
OVERPRICED!
If I could give 0 stars I would. I will never shop here! Too bad because its a local place.... Don't waste your time!

I just came from there. The plants are beautiful, but almost nothing is marked with plant names, height, light, etc. They're seemed to be no one around to answer questions, so I left after 15 minutes of looking around. I came to spend money, left with nothing.

Something for everyone here! Huge selection of plants and garden supplies. Caring and knowledgeable staff. Picked a beautiful flower basket from a wonderful selection of floral baskets and roses for Mother’s Day. Definitely will be back!

Amazing selection of just about anything you could imagine. Everything is extremely happy and healthy. Incredible selection of succulents of all sizes. Stopped in for hay bales and corn stalks for fall as well as hanging mums, incredibly reasonably priced! It’s almost October and all of Mikes spring plants & baskets are still thriving! Impressed doesn’t cut it. This place is a hidden gem! Can’t wait to come back for a Christmas Tree!

This is my favorite garden store. I love the selection and I can always rely on Mike to give me sound advice if I don't know what I'm doing, which is often, haha. The staff is super friendly. I was introduced to this store when I decided to drop in and ask for a donation to a silent auction. I was new to town and they had never seen me, but they donated anyway without a hesitation. It shows a certain ethics and caring for the community that I will always appreciate!

Mike's Garden has the best Christmas trees in the area. Wide selection of shapes and sizes, all recently cut from northern Michigan. Very fresh, always last well through the holidays.

I bought a few plants from here because I was making hanging baskets and combination pot and the plant I bought from here had spider mites on them and they infected all my succulents and killed them 😡😡 I’m never going back to mikes unless they clean and take care of their plants better.
