Running our own home construction and remodeling business since 1975, we understand custom homebuilding as few others can. We are passionate about building and are recognized by clients, subcontractors, suppliers and inspectors for our attention to detail and dedication to build with quality from the foundation up.

Upon arrival, the first thing you notice might be the beautiful Douglas-fir siding. As you walk into the home and soak in its attractive contemporary design you see large panes of glass that let in the surroundings. In 2018 I contracted with Mantell-Hecathorn Builders to construct a custom home for my family in the Twin Buttes development in Durango, CO. I highly recommend this company if you are planning to have a residence constructed. These people are true professionals and made a very stressful and expensive project run smoothly. Greg's family and team… constructed the highest quality and most energy efficient house I've ever owned. If you are planning to have a new home built, save yourself a lot of headaches and choose the best, Mantell-Hecathorn Builders.

As a local craftsman I have had the pleasure of working for and with Mantell-Hecathorn Builders for 10 years. I have also worked with a number of other contractors. M-H Builders are at the top of their class. They work long hours and use their resources to make sure each job site is running smoothly, while making quality time together as a family.… M-H Builders treat all subcontractors (all of which are top quality, and a pleasure to work with as well) and clients with respect. They have strong opinions on how to get things done correctly while always being open to intelligent collaboration
