Services
We provide the full range of periodontal services with a particular emphasis on dental implants and implant related procedures. Dental implants are a fantastic means of replacing missing teeth. A dental implant is a titanium screw that is placed in the bone. The surrounding bone grows onto the titanium and it is incorporated into the bone.
The cone-beam CT is a great example of how a significant advance in technology can directly improve treatment for patients. A cone-beam CT gives 3D imaging of the jaws similar to a conventional CT but with less than 1/100th of the exposed radiation. A traditional CT has a resolution of 0.5 mm voxels (3D pixels) whereas our cone-beam has a resolution of 0.1 mm.
At your first appointment we would like to see you for an exam. This is generally a 30-45 minute appointment in which we will go over your medical history, perform an oral cancer screening and then perform a detailed exam of your teeth and gums. For more in depth treatment needs we will sometimes have you return for an additional exam.
You should present on the day of your procedure wearing comfortable clothes and shoes. If you are not being sedated you should take any medications as normal and will be able to drive yourself home. You will receive specific instructions on caring for the area treated after the procedure. It would be a good idea to prepare ahead of time with a few things.
Swelling: Swelling is a normal component of healing. An ice pack placed directly on your cheek alternating 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off for the first 2 days will help limit the swelling. This will help reduce the swelling but will not eliminate it. Expect the swelling to get worse each day until the third day.

I recently had a gum procedure and extraction done at Dr. Walton's office and couldn't be happier. I had put this off for a long time for fear of what it would entail. Dr. Walton explained everything and and he and his staff were very kind and caring. Both the extraction and the gum surgery went smoothly with very quick recovery times. I would highly recommend Dr. Walton to everyone. Don't put it off like I did. You'll be in good hands at his office.

Dr. Walton and staff took great care of me! I had a baby tooth pulled, bone and collagen grafting done and an implant placed... Very easy procedure, with no pain whatsoever! I was very pleased with all the work performed and had fun meeting and talking with Dr. Walton and his staff. Everyone was professional and well educated - I would recommend him to anyone needing implant work... the office is clean and comfortable with great staff and my appointment times were easily made around my busy schedule. Over the course of 2017 and 2018, I went to Walton and his staff for three gum grafts to address serious gum recession issues caused by my Herculean strength--I had brushed too hard for many years. Walton did a great job of describing the procedure, explaining options for the graft source, and executing the surgery itself. My recovery from these procedures was fine, and the overall results (functionally and aesthetically) were great. As much as I enjoyed interacting with Walton and his staff, I hope to never see them again. But, if I do need oral surgery in the future, I will definitely return

First of all let me apologize to Dr Walton and his staff for taking so long to write this review. Dr Walton and his staff are all very friendly and professional. I was nervous and scared when I made my first visit to his office, but that all disappeared after meeting Dr Walton and his staff. Through the whole process Dr Walton explained each procedure that needed to be done to get me to where I'am today. I thoroughly enjoyed my office experience with Walton Implants. Dr Walton and his staff were professional and courteous. The office staff was flexible with the scheduling. They didn't even make fun of my showing up one month early for an appointment! Dr. Walton and his staff would always let me know what the next step in any of the procedures ahead of me was to be, which lessened any anxiety. Having worked previously in the dental profession, I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needed his specialty. (I took a few business cards on the way out).
