Norbert and his crew have completed 3 jobs for me. Each time, the work was meticulous. I prefer to wait for Norbert's team to be available than to use someone else. Norbert is communicative and clear - if he tells you something will cost $5, it will cost $5 unless you change the scope. When his team says they will be on-site at 7:15, they will be there at 7:15 or they will tell you they will be there at another time before you are waiting for them. Norbert has repaired walls, ceilings, floors, and more for me. I value the skill of his team, his clear communication, and consistency.

Norbert was super responsive to our inquiry and worked so efficiently - I can't believe we didn't find Chicago Handy earlier, honestly! My husband and I have had nothing but nightmare experiences with contractors so when it came time to hang a door on our bedroom closet we kept putting it off! I found Norbert on Yelp based on his amazing reviews from others. If I could give him 10 stars, I would!! I honestly wish I would have found him much sooner!! He is exceptional when it comes to good communication, detailed explanation and of course his craftsmanship. He showed up on time, had everything needed for the job (which threw him a few curveballs along the way) and I couldn’t be happier with the finished product! He takes his time

Norbert and his guys at Chicago Handy are, first and foremost, professional and efficient. They answered all questions and concerns related to the repairs they were making and made sure to get approval on various decision points during the job. They are also genuinely good guys. This review is NOT for Chicago Handy but for the electrical contractor Paul. Chicago handy was too busy so they recommended me to Paul for an electrical project I had. ( Chicago handy mentioned that they work with Paul for electrical contracting work they do.)
Paul is AMAZING and very talented. His is also very reasonable pricing wise, very patient and thorough.
To note, I have found that Chicago Handy is always overbooked for months together. I contacted them twice and both times they said they are too busy.

I picked Chicago Handy based on all of the glowing Yelp reviews and now I can add to that collection. Norbert responds extremely quickly, is knowledgeable, and realistic about what he can promise at the time. I had a laundry list of needs - but especially wanted my backsplash installed. Norbert was not able to accommodate the other needs given their schedule and staffing at the moment, but was able to have technicians come and help with a quick turnaround, friendly and efficient work, and a beautiful result. My only complaint is that I want them to help with everything in my house now :) You will

This is an update I had a ceiling fan installed as a matter of fact I had a couple installed, the last time these guys came out to service my house. And after a couple of months one of the ceiling fans started making a clicking sound. So I called Chicago handy and can you believe that handyman Norbert came out that same day to fix the problem. As a matter of fact I called him while I was at work and even tho he told me the time he would be at my house, I thought if traffic was good I could be there at least 15 minutes before he got there. I am so glad that I recently used Norbert of Chicago Handy to do some work in my condo. Once I filled out the request online, I received a reply from Norbert containing a proposed date and an estimate for the work. I was turning over my condo to new tenants and needed to get some touch ups done on the unit, including a fresh coat of paint on the walls, replacing/fixing closet doors, re-caulking the shower and other miscellaneous items. Norbert was very prompt in his response, came out to the unit the next day to take a look and provide a better estimate on time/cost and his technician Mark began the work a couple days later. I hired Chicago Handy to fix some bi-fold doors that weren't working, install an over- range microwave, install a kitchen faucet, and re-install a bathroom sink stopper. I hired Chicago Handy for a fairly long list of maintenance jobs: patching drywall, replacing pipes, regrouting, removing a garbage disposal, and so on. I had no experience with home maintenance and that wasn't a problem. Norbert did an in-home consultation and patiently explained what needed to be done and purchased. I highly recommend Chicago Handy! Norbert was very easy to communicate with. First, he was helpful in diagnosing the problem we were having with our kitchen faucet. This was with an easy phone conversation. We decided to replace our faucet and we hired Norbert to install it. He was prompt, professional, kind, and provided excellent work! I was looking to get a tile backsplash installed in the kitchen and Chicago Handy is definitely the way to go. I reached out to Norbert and he was extremely helpful. We exchanged a few emails and got the install done in about a week. The technician (Arek and his dad) were great. They showed up early (which is great!) and got straight to work. We discussed in design and he provided his recommendation as well. Once we decided, he went straight to work. I think the install took about 2 hours and it was beautifully done. My kitchen looks much brighter with the subway tile I selected and I'm glad
