Gene Walker started drilling water wells in Idaho in 1947, and we are proud to continue his tradition of quality well drilling. We want our customers get as much water as they need for the lifetime of their system. We take our responsibility to our customers seriously. We currently use hand sanitizer between jobs to clean up.
We're implementing new measures for our onsite technicians to clean and sanitize their tools and equipment. Our staff is fully trained on HAZWOPR (hazardous waste handling). Dealing with a pandemic is part of that training. We can even suit up in full haz-mat gear if we need to (but this situation probably doesn't require it).

Services
Gene Walker left Idaho to drill for Nevada gold at the age of 17. After returning to Idaho, he realized that his home state had a more precious resource: water. Gene founded Walker Water Systems in 1947 and drilled wells throughout the Magic and Wood River Valleys. In fact, he drilled and developed most of the Artesian wells throughout the Wood River Valley.
According to Mark Koffer, "A pump is a device that tricks the water into thinking that its source is higher than its destination." In other words, it pushes the water out of the well and into the house. The water system is actually composed of several parts. There's the pump and motor which hang down the well on a column of pipe and wire.
If your well caves in, even just a little, it can cause a lot of expensive problems. A caved-in well can keep a technician from getting a dead pump out to replace it. That means more time pulling the pump, or possibly even drilling a new well, and it costs you a lot more money. Sometimes if a well caves in at the bottom, it can keep you from setting the pump deeper.
A Very Small Water System is an EPA classification for a water system that serves several people. Initial Installation - We can design, drill, and install a municipal well and water system for subdivisions of 25-500 people. Or, we can offer our experience and expertise to your engineering firm to optimize your design.
You can fax or email it, and we'll let you know when we receive it. If you don't get confirmation, please give us a call. We will call ahead to schedule a time for service. Normally, we may take up to 2 weeks to complete your request. If you need service sooner than 2 weeks, please check the box for expedited service.

We had a leaking faucet that's connected to our well water outside. We were quoted X amount of dollars and when the bill came it was 250 dollars over our quoted amount. The staff is friendly and polite, if not I'd give them less stars. However they did not lower the amount owed. They set us up with a payment plan. Luckily we were able to afford the bill so we just accepted it.
The replacement they set us up with works well but it's sticking out of the ground further than I'd like too and am worried it'll be loosened over time and leak again but we will see. I personally would not call them again

They drilled my well 140 ft too shallow.. they did not pull other wells in my area to check correct depth.. then over charged me 4500.00 and said the well was bad and that they could not fix it.. we still cannot use any outside water or the well runs dry.. asked them to fix it and they said they would have to drill a new well at my expense.. hands down the worst experience in my life

They were quick to show up, got the pump replaced that day. After getting my invoice I price checked the charges. It all looked fair but the pump costs. I was charged $2200.00 for a pump I could buy on line for $851.00. Same Pump same, model #. I’ll buy bottled water before dealing with them again.

I was worried I was wrong in my review so I did so more checking. Check my other reviews. Since we paid the $3200.00 bill to walker water system, I talked to a friend that had his pump replaced (same hp Pump and about the same depth for $1800.00. I called another contractor and he said
