At the age of ten, owner Matt Howell began mowing lawns to earn spending money and also to begin saving to start his own mowing business. In 2000, his junior year of high school, he purchased his first diesel truck and lawn care trailer. By 2003, he had saved enough money to purchase high-end commercial mowers.

I purchased a new Steiner from Winfield’s owner Matt. The machine is absolutely amazing and far exceeds my expectations after mowing our >12 acres three times. We have brutally steep hills and the machine goes up, down and sideways- safely. My yard looks like a golf course. Also, Matt was exceptional. I purchased a used Ventrac from him last fall without a warranty and Matt told me back then that if was not completely satisfied in the spring that he would take care of me.
