Zeskind's has become the trusted source for millwork & materials in Baltimore City and beyond. Sam Zeskind opened Zeskind's Hardware in 1925. His wife Rose and their four daughters lived above the store for several years as Zeskind's grew to become a fixture in the community. Their oldest daughter Miriam married Irvin Miller in 1941, and after his return from WWII, they opened Woodlawn Paint and Hardware.
Growing up, Rick Jr. worked in the retail hardware store repairing windows and screens, waiting on customers, and loading materials. After college, Rick worked as a superintendent for a residential home-builder, gaining experience in the field. He then joined Sinclair Supply, hired by Greg Davis as an inside salesperson as part of a talented millwork sales team.

We can duplicate existing wood windows in our custom shop, or we can provide pressure-treated and lifetime warrantied Jeld Wen wood windows that closely match most historic windows.

Mike and Earl? Well, I needed to replace a drill bit and I did not have the key. They really helped me out by getting the bit out and replacing it with the one I just bought. The price of the bit - $2. They were both super nice and took the time to even draw me a picture of type of bit key I would need to have in the future. I will make the trip to just give this store my business. Sincerely, Drill Bit Lady!

I ordered and had 2 wood doors installed and it was an absolute disaster. I ordered doors September of 2020 and to date my doors are still incomplete. The doors were supposed to be delivered cherry stained however when they arrived they unfinished. They sent a guy to stain the doors once they were hung and he did the worst job imaginable. They left light uneven areas with huge drip stains all over the doors and to top it off he stained all the hardware on the doors.They installed this big metal

I have now purchased windows for three different homes from Zeskinds and strongly recommend them. They come out and take measurements to ensure that the order is accurate and will fit. They are always prompt with their quotes and they come in with the best prices. They have helped me with specialty orders for historic neighborhoods in Baltimore so that I can order windows to match the neighborhood's requirements. I have also ordered well-priced standard vinyl windows from them. If you think you may have a hard time finding something, I strongly recommend that you reach out to them.

Poor response; the first call was met with "all our sales staff are busy, can someone call you back in 10 to 15 minutes"? No return call. Second call the next day was met with a "can you send your contractor to speak with us" despite the fact that I am the contractor. I happen to be a woman, so if you are one, I would suggest you have a man call. Not calling a third time.
