We offer primary and specialty care for all teens and young adults. With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Scalfano blends the most up-to-date evidence-based care with the relationship-based, one-on-one care you could expect from an old-fashioned family doctor. This is a solo practice, not owned by a hospital, corporation, or private equity group.

Our #1 priority is the health of our patients. Teens & young adults have unique healthcare needs so we allow twice the time of the average physician visit so that you can be assured of a thorough health assessment and plan. We look forward to seeing you in one of our conveniently located offices, for a telemedicine visit, or a house call.
Services
A thorough physical, including screening by history and physical exam for issues which might leave an athlete or patient open to injury. An age-appropriate physical and health screening, including screening for common health and safety issues affecting the patient's age group as well as a personalized screening plan based on family history and other risk factors.
We provide consultation services in a timely and professional manner with excellent communication with the referring practice. Allow us to help you further evaluate problems that you don't typically have the time to address like menstrual dysfunction, overuse injuries/concussion, acne, ADHD (evaluation and treatment), and other issues commonly affecting teens & young adults.
Let us know what day works best and whether morning or afternoon better suits your schedule. If coming into our offices in Addison or Frisco doesn't work for you, we have telemedicine appointment or we can come to you at your home, school, or office. Care is available after hours for emergencies.

If you have an urgent medical issue that can not wait until Regular Care Hours, please call the office and you will be directed to the after hours call number.Mondays are reserved for teaching and special clinics but after-hours emergency care is still available.
The nurse will call about 5-10 min before the visit to collect your vital signs & review any medications you may be taking. HAVE YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE, PULSE & TEMPERATURE READINGS READY TO GIVE THE NURSE. Have a list of your medications, if any, with doses handy. Dr. Scalfano will send a link by text message AFTER the nurse call.
Send us a MyChart message and let us know the name of the medication and the name and location of your pharmacy of choice. Call us during Regular Care Hours and leave a message on the nurse-line. Be sure to include your full name, your date of birth, the medication name, and the pharmacy name and location.

100% recommend Dr. Scalfano! I've been seeing her for a while and have always received top notch care. Sommer, Mel and Dr. S are reliable and easy to talk to. Dr. Scalfano is a wonderful doctor, she will take time to ask thorough questions about what's bothering you and always answers any questions you have.
I feel confident and happy with the care I continue to receive at Windhaven. The nurses line is also very helpful too!
