I am Yana, a European living in Michigan, crazy in love with the California coastline and zinfandels, ambient music and a good hearty pho. I am also a documentary photographer specializing in intimate weddings, adventure elopements and epic engagement sessions. Yana made the day of our Wedding so special, because now we get to relive all of our special moments through her lens as she captured them. It was unexpectedly drizzly and Yana helped us ad-lib for our photos; she even found an old vintage velvet couch and added that to our photos which ended up being the favorites! My husband and I both love her work and wish we could do it all again with Yana with us!

After our first conversation with Yana almost 2 years ago, we knew she was the right photographer for us. We have had an amazing experience working with her. We’re so happy that we selected Yana as our wedding photographer. Choosing a photographer was one of the most important pieces to our wedding because we wanted to make sure we had great photos from the day. When we first saw Yana’s website we saw a lot of really unique wedding shots, and after talking with her at our first meeting we knew that she would be great. We couldn’t have been happier when we saw the gallery after the wedding. So many great photos!

I will attempt to relay my wonderful experience with Yana in my limited vocabulary; because I agonized over a week, trying to look for the more-than-perfect words and failed miserably. I contacted Yana for a winter couple session; and boy, did she went above and beyond! Yana was super flexible in scheduling, due to the nature of our photoshoot had to be when there is enough snow, or not too much that the driving condition is bad. During the shoot, Yana made sure we stayed in our comfort zone, but all the while delivered AMAZING, state-of-the-art candid pictures. Yana was the most genuine person

In every way Yana exceeded our expectations. We were lucky enough to secure her services with relatively short notice. We knew nothing about adventure elopement, other than we wanted our day to be unique, special and beautiful, and that it would just be the two of us. Our plan was loose, with only a general idea of where we wanted to hold the ceremony. We definitely needed some guidance.

I don't know where to even start. Yana is truly a beautiful being. I knew when I was looking through her website that she was the photographer for us. Not only did she deliver amazing wedding photos but more importantly she made me feel at ease. One less thing to worry about. Weddings can be so stressful! I tend to be very sensitive to energy and sometimes worry about things incessantly so of course our wedding wasn't an exception. haha. But her responsiveness and attention to detail really put me at ease. I felt she was as invested as we were in our wedding. It was never weird or awkward to have
