Growing up in North Florida I've witnessed a lot of growth. My family has lived in North Florida ever since the Florida was a state. They operated a trading post/ post office and steam boat stop on the Apalachicola River for almost 100 years. To them growing your own food was just what you had to do.

My dad moved to Jacksonville and he and his brothers built the house we lived in. I grew up on the west side of Jacksonville and as a young man worked in several nurseries in the area. I always had a passion for plants and the outdoors. When I first got back in the nursery business about 2007 it was with the intention of having a small side business and maybe a little income stream.
Services
We started out as a family run farm-nursery specializing in edible landscape and garden plants. We firmly believe in practicing organic principles and sustainable agriculture. Going forward we want to continue offering quality edible plants to the community but also provide more educational opportunities for this and help this next generation see the importance of this.
One of our goals moving forward is to help the next generation realize the importance of local, sustainably grown food. We hope to do this with more school gardens, garden education programs, edible school yards, and more. We can schedule trips and tours for your group. Email us about setting up your group trip where you can observe and participate hands on in how growing more of your own food can be incorporated in your lives.
Help us with our sustainable mission to increase locally grown food. We currently have 3 local projects we are funding: a college wants to create an edible food forest, a special needs school field trip, and many other school field trips. Scroll down to pick a project you can donate directly to. Thank you for your support.

Went to pickup two peach trees and wound up with a car full of herbs, trees, plants and garlic.
This place is beautiful and you receive such an education on any topic relating to the vegetation and fungi they have.
I would recommend making an appointment for days they are closed to the general public and be prepared to come home afterwards and be able to literally eat your yard.
Most favorite nursery and will be attending classes and purchasing from them again and again.

Honestly hands down the best nursery I've ever been too, we've been twice so far. My son loves coming and enjoying all the snacks along the way. The people are also amazing! So kind and well seasoned in what they do and they love what they do. Nothing like this place in my opinion. Thankyou guys for everything you do.

I live in GA and visited this nursery for the 2nd time yesterday. The people are very nice and extremely knowledgeable. The owner Tim and a young lady took time to help me find what I was looking for. The price and selection make the drive worth it! I only wish I had more room in my vehicle.

Wow I can't believe so little reviews, this is a hidden gem for garden enthusiasts.
The owner is highly knowledgeable has a wide variety in nose what is allowed and supposed to be growing in and around our area.
I just found out there's also delivery available. the only downside is how many days a week it's open but like they say big things come in small packages 😔

The owner is so welcoming and knowledgeable and so was all the staff. I attended an Earth Day event which was very fun and well organized. The property proves how much passion they have for what they do. I look forward to attending more events here and purchasing my plants from them!

Hidden gem for plants in Jacksonville. Tons of variety on the exotic side such as tropical and international fruits and vegetables but also carry an impressive number of native and local species. Been gardening for years and still learned a ton from their staff about the use of local plants. Overall a place that's dedicated to a lot of really good things like urban farming and lowering our impact on the environment. Took the whole family and left with an education.

An inspiring place, go on the days when the owner Tim is there. He is incredibly knowledgeable about growing edibles suitable to NE FL and his passion is worth witnessing if nothing else. I have been there twice before when he wasn’t there and I didn’t get to learn nearly as much as I did when I took a quick group tour with a Tim this past weekend. He has motivated me to take the next step and put in edibles in my yard.
