Sharps container disposal is a tricky business that can be very dangerous if not handled well. At San Diego Medical Waste, we're glad to help you with your sharps disposal needs! We have a wide variety of sharps containers in various sizes. All of these containers are designed to help you dispose of sharps in a safe, efficient manner.
On or before your scheduled service, remove sharps containers from patient rooms and place the entire sharps container in an upright position inside of the regulated medical waste (RMW) container ensuring that no needles spill out. On your scheduled service day, we will perform a one for one exchange of your onsite regulated medical waste (RMW) and deliver any pre ordered products (sharps containers, biohazard bags, etc).
Not all pharmaceutical waste is created equal. Hazardous (RCRA), non-hazardous, trace chemotherapy and controlled substances - it all has to be handled separately and properly according to its classification. It's also subject to the rules of a number of regulatory agencies. Some (but not all) pharmaceutical waste must be treated as hazardous waste and handled accordingly.

The following 5 steps will provide a seamless disposal process and minimize exposure to employees. Place sharps containers inside of wall mounts or on countertops and line biohazard waste containers with biohazard bags.

I am a building manager and had a tenant leave a medical waste receptacle behind. Instead of reaching out to their long-term client to collect payment, they wanted to bill me for the pickup. I'm not sure what the pickup costs, but this seems really petty to try and charge me instead of contacting their client. It begs the question --- is this company insolvent? Are their resources so depleted they cannot take care of a last pickup for a client and instead need to try and back the property manager into a corner for payment? Wow. Be careful if you're dealing with these people!

I found San Diego Medical Waste online and filled out a quick form. Sam called me personally the next day to provide more information, and was extremely accommodating (even when I forgot to call him back). Set-up was easy, and Sam went above and beyond to ensure we received our disposal bin. We were provided with a calendar of pick-up dates for the year, and Sam has been quick to respond to any questions we have. Best medical waste service I could have asked for! I was very lucky to find them a few months back while searching for a new company to work with. Sam (CEO) is very attentive, flexible, and is always available to help his customers; employees are also very attentive and friendly.
The bins and bags they provide are of great quality, they even save you the trouble of printing labels by providing you with them. They also work paperless, which is less paperwork to store and great for the environment.
