Run from Kirk and desert investments. He is the most crooked piece of garbage I have encountered in 40 years of property management. He will lie to your face and enjoy it. I can't believe how smooth this piece of crap can be. Please don't give him any money as he is the lowest piece of garbage I have ever encountered. He belongs in jail but his crimes are fairly small in the big picture although he has screwed over hundreds.

Do not trust Kirk P. I have tried numerous time to receive my rent deposit and pet deposit back! It has been 7 months! He will not return my phone calls or emails I am out over $1,000.00. I left the place in better condition than I received it and made improvements and still no common decency to even call back and explain the no refund etc. He also did not follow AZ law in sending a reason why deposit was kept or damages they think, which were none, Very dishonest and unprofessional! I am still trying!

Kirk Piersma has pulled off his magic act again, he is no longer operating as Desert Investments, he changed the company name so no one will see these bad reviews. He will pounce on new unknowing victims who will fall into his trap like the rest of us did. The Arizona Dept. of Real Estate revoked his license, but he doesn't care, he is laughing at them, and that clearly didn't stop him.

This company is absolutely horrible. We were in a 1 yr lease and had multiple things wrong with the house we were renting. After multiple calls and emails we had to threaten legal action to get some of the items fixed. After 6 months living in the home there were still items that were not fixed when we moved in. They do not return calls or emails and are very difficult to get a hold of. I would absolutely recommend staying away from this company.

The owner of the house I was renting switched property management companies to this horrible company, Desert Investment Advisors. From the day he switched, we had nothing but problems. The CEO, Kirk Piersma is extremely rude. He does not return phone calls or emails. The owner of the house had to intervene in numerous situations due to the lack of response.

I found Desert Investment Advisors to be slow and at times unresponsive when it came to agreed upon repairs and fixes. They have made numerous promises but in several cases have taken months to follow through - if at all. You might want to check them and their CEO Kirk Piersma out at The Arizona Department of Real Estate website.

I unfortunately hired this company to manage a property in Avondale. Their accounting is shoddy at best. I was double charged one month, then my home owner's warranty was ignored. Each month a different issue and the responses I got were evasive. This was the first time I have dealt with a PM company and I had many questions, this company was uncooperative and unwilling to answer my questions which made me very suspicious. Kirk was my agent, and I received a "dear john" notice from him when they abruptly dropped me as a client with NO notice. His last comment to me was, "

I started writing this review in my head just a few weeks into a lease I signed for a one-bedroom duplex in the Portland historical district.
