Andiamo Ristorante
First, to experience Italy. This dream came true in 2008. The previous year, Ann was shocked to hear her 93-year old mother, Dorothy, not normally known to be tuned into the wants and dreams of others, insist that, upon her death, Ann must use part of her inheritance to visit Italy. Dorothy died in 2007, and Ann did indeed visit Rome, Florence, Lucca, and Cinque Terre.

She longs to return and explore Naples, Venice, the Italian Alps, and of course, go back to Florence! The second dream was to turn her passion for cooking and serving fabulous food into a career. This dream came true unexpectedly in 2018. Ann's dear friend and daughter of the heart, Daniela Marcone, had moved out of state, and felt she could no longer be solely responsible for Andiamo's success.

This so a hidden gem. Incredibly delicious food with good portions. Don’t come here if you just want some chain restaurant fare. This is a level up. Incredible. Like being in Italy.

After reading tons of rave reviews online, I was DYING to check out Andiamo. They didn’t lie, it really is just a hole-in-the-wall in a strip mall, and the inside felt like a cheap nail salon with teal-painted walls. But the food. The food. The gnocchi was stand-out with a perfect creamy Parmesan sauce and the bread they start you out with was amazing—spinach and cheese baked into it. The calamari was VERY salty. Some sort of creamy aioli would have helped even it out. The carbonara was also very salty and very peppery—good not great. The cheesecake was moist, with an obviously deliciously

A true hole in the wall place that deserves more recognition! It was my first time dining here for dinner, and I was a bit skeptical only because it's not like other Italian restaurants in Austin right off of first impressions.

However, the staff is extremely friendly and the food is AMAZING! Everything tasted so fresh, even the complimentary bread. The pasta is arguably some of the best that I've had - carbonara was delicious and not too heavy, and the orecchiette was so light and flavorful. The menu also changes seasonally.

I need to come back and try one of their wine pairing dinners

Delicious and completely authentic. Have not had a great meal at an Italian restaurant that had its own unique flavors. Highly recommend this place as it was very surprising

Everything was amazing! Serena explained the menu beautifully and answered all our questions. The eggplant app was wonderful as well as my veal entree. The lemon butter white whine sauce was perfect!

I was skeptical with the location of the restaurant when I first arrived but I really enjoy my dining experience with Andiamo Ristorante after all. The staff is super friendly, and I love the jazz music they play in the restaurant. I ordered the linguine luci johnson, and I love how it had various different ingredients in it (lots of mushrooms and veggies!) Their mellefoglie is also uniquely flavored and it is a must try on the dessert menu!

I highly recommend getting the pumpkin ravioli when it's available in the fall. It's mouthwatering Lee delicious. They have some of the best complementary bread I've ever had. They also have really amazing wine pairing dinners in which vineyard owners come in and tell you all about their delicious wines. Another fun event is cooking classes in the back! They're always super friendly and it's a really small restaurant in which you can actually hear one another. Don't let the location for you... It's right next to a Jack-in-the-Box and I'm kind of an odd location

Actually, I give the review 3.5, but I don't have that option. My first visit to this restaurant was last night to celebrate a friend's birthday. It is a small, family owned place in a small strip mall in north Austin. The personnel are very nice, and our service by Emma was especially good. The ambiance is lovely, too. A quiet night, the food, I must report is not exceptional. I had gnocchi al Ragu and two friends had Ravioli ai Funghi, which I tasted. One of our party loved it, and one thought it just OK. Another friend liked her Linguini Luci Johnson. That dish was the least sauce

Outstanding, authentic gourmet Italian, carefully prepared using quality ingredients and creatively paired flavors. This is all about quality and integrity and it shines through. The setting is clean, comfortable and modest. The server was sweet, helpful and sincere. Don't let the modest location and feel trick you. This food competes and wins against most of the highest end Italian restaurants anywhere.

I'll start off by saying this is probably some of the best Italian food you'll have in Austin, hands down.  To start we had the Pesche Con Prosciutto e Burrata (Fresh peach, prosciutto, mini heirloom tomatoes, basil and burrata cheese) and Carpaccio di Capesante (scallop carpaccio). And the bread, OMG the bread was so warm & delicious - you can't beat fresh Stromboli. For the mains we ordered the Orecchiette alla Boscaiola (Homemade italian ground sausage meat, mushrooms, and spinach in a spicy tomato cream sauce) and the Summer Special which consisted of two lobster tails in

My client has been recommending this place for the longest time-it is his favorite place. I have found good Italian, but not GREAT Italian here in town, and now I think I've found GREAT Italian! It's not cheap, but it is quality. The bread is AMAZING, and the pastas are WOW! I do wish they would lay off the pepper a bit (they are a bit heavy handed), but everything else is fabulous. Service was awesome. So glad we tried it!! Will be back. Nice atmosphere, not too noisy.

We recently celebrated a special event and since the 4 of us have never visited Andiamo we decided to give it a whirl. If you are seeking a romantic dinner in an elegant environment then take a pass. If you want authentic delicious Italian/Sicilian food then this is your place.

We were seated immediately by a very pleasant host and our server arrived right behind her with menus bread and water. Oh, the bread! The warm herb cheese bread is a wonderful surprise starter.

There is a decent well better than decent wine list with some very good mid-range priced bottles.

We ordered the calamari and

Such a fun place with great flavors. Not sure how many grandma's are in the back cooking but it's worth it. The dishes were all. Very flavorful and the staff was very informative.

Ok this place is a Diamond in the rough. It's the cutest little Italian Restaurant with amazing food and even though there was only one gentleman serving honestly he made it feel like home! He was always cheerful and willing to help with suggestions. The food was amazing, my husband and I got late night cravings and so glad we did as it made me find this awesome place. Definitely our go to place for a little place of Italy here in Austin. The Garlic bread is amazing! The Fritto Misto which is Fried Calamari and Vegetables is the best Calamari"s we've ever had. I had the Ravioli

Have to start by saying the flavor is incredible. We ordered the beef tenderloin, which we order almost everywhere, and this was one of the best steaks we’ve ever had. The flavor is so amazing and it’s hard to describe so you’ll just have to order it. We also liked the zucchini noodles a lot. It’s a delicious strong garlic flavor but it’s not too much. If you like healthy “pasta” dishes and you like garlic, this will be your favorite dish.

Try the house bread!
I've been here with my husband for date night (pre-pandemic); we've also gotten takeout here for our 3 year anniversary (during pandemic). The food I've ordered each time was excellent. I highly recommend the Lucy Johnson-- it is perfection!! And so is the Ravioli di Pollo e Pancetta. Both dishes will have you feeling like you've treated yourself... and why not? You deserve it!

Tried a couple dishes for take-out recently, the fettuccine ragú and the saltinbocca. The fettuccine had great flavor, but the pasta was very over cooked. Thus 4 stars and not 5. This could partially be due to take-out, but my date's pasta was not overcooked. The saltinbocca was pretty good. Had a very peppery flavor that I enjoyed. I'll happily try this resistant again one day.

Just WOW! I saw a post somewhere about their special: 50% off wine bottles to go! We came for the wine and fell in love with the food! The ravioli was the best I've ever had. I don't typically like mushrooms, but these were perfect and had absorbed the sauce so well! The gnocchi had Italian sausage, peas, and a sauce that was perfectly rich but light too! And that bread was so soft and flavorful...ugh I can't wait to go back!

Birthday dinner for 2. Covid 19 style. Only ones in restaurant. Richard's Superb service along with a glorious meal and ambience, memorable experience. Limited but not compromised menu. Still the best authentic flavors in Austin. Wonderful wine list pairings. Don't be confused with their location as a compromise. This little jewel is Top Notch culinary experience.

Never change, Andiamo. And please never close!

Sometimes, when COVID keeps you from having fun, you need carbs. And when I need carbs, I want good carbs. And these are some GOOD carbs.

Takeout was fast and easy (about 20 minutes after calling in, which is about the amount of time it takes to put on Pants and drive over anyway.)

The herb cheese bread? Still amazing. Drizzled some olive oil on it at home because I forgot to ask for some to go.

Fennel salad? Lightly truffled. Crunchy. Bright.

Carbonara? Perfect. Well Seasoned. Pasta had great bite.

If you need some amazing pasta to get

We came to Andiamo on a Tuesday to celebrate my brother's 20-year-brain-tumor-free anniversary. The place is in an unimpressive strip mall, but once inside it has that 5 star restaurant feel and thoroughly impressed us.

For starters, we brought a bottle of martinelli's apple cider ( - brain tumor patients can't have alcohol) and they didn't skip a beat before bringing out champagne glasses and pouring them for us to toast to our special day. They still were running their summer menu and what we ordered is below:

SIDE NOTE* my entire family is Italian, from Italy, and we were
