Sleep apnea is a disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep, and loud snoring is often a common symptom. Snoring and sleep apnea appliances hold a patient's lower jaw open and slightly forward during sleep, which prevent the tongue from causing an obstruction. We take into consideration the overall health of each patient and produce custom-fit snoring or sleep apnea appliances.
TMJ disorder is a common condition that is associated with jaw joint pain, bite changes, jaw clicking sounds. Many people also experience facial and neck pain or headaches. We will fabricate specific custom-made orthotic appliances that you have to wear for a few months. These appliances will reduce and possibly completely eliminate any inflammation in the jaw joints.
Oral cancer screening is part of your periodic dental exam, performed at least twice a year. Early detection of oral cancer allows for more effective and less invasive treatment. Often times, patients are unaware of any changes until they visit the dentist. If we detect anything concerning, we will refer you to an oral surgeon for further evaluation.
Orofacial myology is the study of the muscles of the mouth and face that affect speech, swallowing and chewing. Abnormal functioning of these muscles can lead to orthodontic, breathing, speech and TMJ problems. We develop an individual treatment program for each patient. The program includes specific orthotic and orthodontic appliances, along with orofacial myology exercises.

I had bonding veneers done with Dr. Kalchev and I’m so so so happy with the way they turned out. I needed them done for the front four teeth and I was worried how it will look since they were going to be very visible. They turned out great and look very natural. Definitely recommend the doctor and his clinic. Everyone is very nice, friendly and professional.

I highly recommend Dr. Kalchev, whose work is not less then that of an artist sculpting with precision to the tiniest of detail. He is a perfectionist! I can tell he really likes doing dental work and really wants one to be happy with the outcome. Aside from which, he is very professional, pleasant, with a willingness to take time to listen to all my concerns. He answered my email questions in a very timely manner as well. I have always had a fear of going to the dentist and he and his assistants made sure I was comfortable. I am beyond satisfied and highly recommend him.

Very friendly staff. Highest quality work and Dr takes pride in what he does. No high pressure to make you have a movie star smile, but they are certainly capable of it if you have the desire (and the money LOL).
I’ve been a patient here for many years now and would never even consider going somewhere else.

It was a pleasure to visit BK Dental in Wood Dale. Great atmosphere, polite team, excellent care. Dr Kaltchev is very thorough with his explanations and treatment plans so I have the correct information to make the best choice for myself. From the work I’ve had done so far all has been excellent. UPDATE: The manager apologized for wrongly charging me 95 dollars for my second visit and refunded my card.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. The doctor is probably a nice person but he was completely useless. I've been here twice and both time he charged me 95 dollars to tell he couldn't do anything about it. I guess the first time was a consultation fee but the second time he charged me for "examination fee". I literally saw him for 2 minutes and he said he couldn't do anything. Ridiculous service and the receptionist was incompetent

I ended up at Dr. Chernoff's office when I moved to Evanston about 3.5 years ago when I was looking for a local dentist. The service is wonderful, and they make you feel like family. They also always take great care of you if you have last-minute dental issues. My wife and I now live in the city but are happy to make the drive to Evanston a few times a year to continue using Dr. Chernoff. I highly recommend them.

Dr Chernoff has been treating my brother for a while. He is what we are looking for in a dentist: knowledgeable, compassionate and friendly. I've been getting service with Dr. Chernoff and his staff for over four years now -- not only is he an expert at what he does, but he also makes every visit a pleasure. I've had multiple fillings done as well as some work to beautify my front teeth. For the latter service, Dr. Chernoff offered two options - one which involved getting actual crowns, and one in which I'd get special long-lasting fillings. I was referred to Dr. Chernoff's office many years ago by a good friend. And I'm thankful for it. The experience has always been -- let's face it -- as good as it can get for a dentist's office. Most of my contact with the office is with my hygienist, Carol, who is not only outstandingly thorough and caring, but loves what she does, enthusiastically motivating you to care about your teeth as much as she cares for them. Went to Dr. Chernoff for the first time today after not having seen a dentist in over a year, eeek! Receptionist Judy is fabulous. The waiting room is super-small, but I didn't have to wait very long.
Hygienist Judy is also great. Exam room had soft music playing and family pictures, which helped to ease my dentist fears. She explained every step of the cleaning, some of which had been a total mystery to me before. She was really nice rather than berating about my lazy flossing habits, which makes me want to actually floss more. The focus was more on the plaque scraping and less on
