Caregiver Connection has been Portland's top choice for independent caregivers since 1998. We are a local, licensed Caregiver Registry that brokers approximately 150 caregivers who are screened and liability-insured. Clients hire caregivers directly for a referral fee. In our model, called consumer-directed care, clients and caregivers determine all the details of their arrangements together, including duties and compensation.
Our independent caregivers provide all levels of personal care, from companionship to hospice. We specialize in 24-hour care, long dayshifts (8-12 hours) and overnights for clients with both long-term conditions and those receiving comfort/end-of-life care.

Services
Many of our independent caregivers have certified nursing assistant (CNA) or other healthcare-related backgrounds, such as nursing, massage or acupuncture studies. They specialize in medical care giving, including hospice care. Caregivers must have basic care giving skills and experience, as well as interpersonal skills, in order to be placed on our registry.
We would like to introduce you to a sampling of the talented caregivers on our registry. As a broker, we match caregivers with adults and seniors, taking into account your preferences, as well as the availability, location, and general qualifications that you are seeking from a caregiver.
For instance, you might say, "I would like a middle-years female caregiver who can cook a square meal, " or, "I would like a quiet caregiver that doesn't mind helping around the house, " or "I would like a caregiver that has hospice experience and will walk my dog."We then contact appropriate candidates and put you in touch with each other.

Caregiver Connection is locally owned and operated in Portland, Oregon, and has been serving clients in the metro area including Vancouver, Washington, since 1998. You negotiate duties and rates, hire and pay your caregiver directly, and the caregiver is generally considered your employee. Our clients enjoy knowing that they have control over the arrangement with their caregivers, who earn the equivalent of about 90% of the total fee paid.
A Caregiver Registry is a service that pre-qualifies caregiver candidates, whom the consumer hires directly for a referral fee. You are empowered to make decisions directly with your caregivers; no agency interface is necessary. Just call us! Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am- 6:00 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am-6:00 pm. Voice messages and e-mails are responded to often, including on Sundays. Can't say enough good things about CC and all the folks they had for us to contract with. My dad's last days required 24x7 and every single CG we had was outstanding, a great communicator, and a person with excellent compassion for my dad. Jennifer at CC was simply fantastic in her work to acquire all five CGs in a very short timeline. Basically a perfect company to work with - especially under grim conditions.
