Welcome to R & C Packing and Custom Butchering Online: Your online resource for beef and pork information and sales. On this site, you will find information for prices and the process for custom butchering and retail sales. Along with product processing information, also on this site is the history about R&C Packing's State-inspected processing facility.

The Cooperative Interstate Shipment (CIS) Program promotes the expansion of business opportunities for state-inspected meat and poultry establishments. Under CIS, state-inspected plants can operate as federally-inspected facilities, under specific conditions, and ship their product in interstate commerce and anywhere in the continental U.S. Without CIS, a state-inspected plant is limited to sales within its own state.
Services
Here at R & C Packing, we believe that we are in business for one reason and that is our customers and their confidence in us. Whether you are buying the product from us or bringing your livestock to us for processing, we understand the time and especially the money you've put into it. Communication and trust is the key to our success and your enjoyment.
Storage fees will be charged on animals left in our freezers, after 1 week you will be charged $10.00 per week. ATTENTION FAIR CUSTOMERS: Due to higher fuel costs and labor, we may have to charge for transportation from the fair to our facilities.

We do not want to do this, but it will be based on the number of head that we receive from your fair and the amount of time that we have to be there and pay employees for helping with the transportation of the livestock.
Harvest days include: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (for scalded hogs) - We always schedule a day ahead of the actual day of harvest. You may pick up and/or buy meat (retail) Monday through Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturday 9am-2pm. If you would like to schedule animals for processing, please call 740-245-9440 or email us at rcpacking@jbnets.net.
Boneless steaks include: New York Strips, Filet Mignon, and Ribeyes Both methods will also come with sirloin steaks, which are boneless. If you require a different thickness, please call us. Please keep in mind that the thicker your steaks are cut, you will have less total steaks. Some roasts will have bone and fat content.
Due to the various and multiple ways that you can process Lamb and Goat we ask that you call and speak with us directly. There are multiple common names used out in the food world that just don't match up with the actual names of the cuts that are available. For this reason we ask that you call in your information and speak with us directly.

This place is either owner by crooks or incompetent people. Total rip off having a steer butchered here. Get 100 lbs less that one should expect (that is taking into account the normal amount you loose during slaughter). Ribs were cut into small pieces and virtually unusable, somehow did not even receive a brisket. Was told we had to choose between all boneless or all bone in, and that were unable to to cut a rib roast (prime rib style). When we picked boneless we still received a holder roast that were all bone in, and all had uneven thickness. I cannot help but feel this is one of the worst butchers
