I never leave comments, but I must leave this: Rita is amazing. I ordered slip covers for my couch and throw pillows. the couch needed new foam and bolsters. I was able to do iit all by phone as I'm.not able to travel while I am recovering from knee injury. Hats off to RITA! And many thanks.

Rita is fantastic! Friendly and knowledgeable and quick. She rebuilt my vintage couch cushions and I was so happy I immediately asked her to also do the same for an armchair. It was ready faster than she said it would be. Great, great, great.

Very nice fabrics but service makes you feel like you've been fooled. No price tag on the rolls. Saw a fabric that I was told was $40/yard. Came back a few days later and was then told it was $45. When confronted, vendor agreed to back to $40. Tried to sell me the remnants for 4 full yards when it was clearly short of fabric. After agreeing on final price, we were almost called us thieves and liars for being short of $10 when the vendor actually miscounted the cash. Overall not a great purchase experience. I only purchased the fabric because I could not find anything else I liked anywhere

I have been to M & A Decorators quite a few times. They are definitely the most organized fabric store in the area, and their selection beats everyone around them. BUT, their customer service is awful! The folks on the floor act like you are bothering them whenever you have a question or need something cut. They are rude, no way around it. Ugh. Each time I go, I think to myself, "I'm sure it will be better next time..." Guess what! It's not. Sad.

They did a great job making covers for my sectional! Rita brought fabric choices to my home, took the order and then delivered it. They are very well made and look great! Couldn't have been easier.

Rita was awesome!! Everything was on point, from the moment I walking in the store, to the moment when they installed the shades! I'm very happy!

M and A created some custom shades for an extra large window in my new apt. Rita was super fast to get back to emails which I really appreciated. Also the guys that measured and installed we so nice and were done much quicker than I expected. They even showed up early for the install which helped me out because I was able to get to work faster.

They have since moved around the corner to a smaller storefront at 85 Allen. The saleswoman who helped me was clearly very experienced. I was able to get a nice yard of good quality off-white fabric for $5 for a skirt. Thank you.

The first time I visited this store I didn't stay long -- it was a horribly hot day, the fabrics all seem jumbled, and I left after a few minutes. After checking out Zarins and Joe's fabric stores to no avail, I returned to M & A a few days later, and I am so glad that I did. Once I took the time to search through the fabrics, I realized there was a wonderful selection. I was redoing a vintage rattan sofa set and found the most perfect chenille tropical print. This fabric store is small however has a lot to choose from. The woman who helped me really worked with my budget, as I am trying to reupholster my 1960's couch. I came from Mood which is very expensive. Came here and found fabric that's just as nice and cut my price in half! This store also changed locations. It's around the corner on Allen St now...

The shopkeeper here was extremely helpful. I came in wanting fabric to reupholster four dining chairs, and she was able to help me find the perfect fabric in less than 10 minutes. Excellent prices, too: upholstery quality velvet for $20/yard. Highly recommend!

Don't let the disorganized fabric store fool you. Find some great fabric deals in this location. Prices are much much much more cheaper than other fabric stores in the area. If they do not have what you are looking for, you can special order something you like through their swatch and sample catalogs. Thats what I did. Rita, the owner is super friendly, she was knowledgeable of her products and even stayed open a little later just so I could get some measurements from my new apartment in the LES.
