Modern Rugs LA was established in 2001 as the first exclusively modern and contemporary rug store in the U.S. What separates MRLA from other rug stores is our inventory. We specialize in high-quality hand knotted rugs made in our own factory by Artisan Weavers. MRLA is located in the heart of West Hollywood nestled between the Design Center and posh upscale boutiques and restaurants.

This place is incredible!! The staff is super friendly and helpful and the product is absolutely beautiful! I'm an interior designer in Los Angeles and Modern Rugs is truly my favorite place to shop. Modern Rugs LA is the only place to buy rugs! Good quality, great selections at reasonable prices and Sasha and his team are the nicest people you'll ever deal with anywhere! Not to mention the sweet, gorgeous, well-groomed and well behaved white doggies who will be there to greet you if you're fortunate enough to go on the right day.
I bought several rugs from Sasha four years ago and recently thought I would have to replace my favorite one after my new dog had multiple accidents on it. Plus it had some deep rust stains from a table and add to that during the pandemic I tried cleaning it myself

My go to place for modern rugs :) They never let me down they are always so friendly and accommodating and polite and kind. They have incredible rugs that all my clients love and are wonderful people to work with. I have been getting rugs from them for the last 6 years and I have had nothing but wonderful experiences there. The quality of the rugs are always incredible and they have a gorgeous selection of modern rugs. We walked into this place after eating lunch and immediately fell in love with the owner Sasha. He was so welcoming and so patient with us. We had my nieces with us who were causing a ruckus but Sasha didn't mind at all.

Modern Rugs LA is the only place I will consider purchasing rugs. Josh was excellent in helping us order carpet samples and setting up our rugs with precision in our home. They have rugs suited to all budgets and design styles. It is wonderful to work with a business who loves what they do and has their customer's best interest at heart. We recently renovated our house and purchasing rugs was the final touch to put it all together. We met Sasha and Sabrina at their now shuttered Helm's Bakery location and they couldn't have been more helpful. They guided us in choosing the right sizes and more importantly what would compliment the aesthetic of the rooms we were furnishing. They made the process so easy for us that we gladly spent four figures in the course of an afternoon on several rugs. I can't believe that I haven't written a review of Modern Rugs yet. We found them through a designer who has worked with Sasha a great deal over the years and while we never ended up meeting him, the salespeople and everyone we dealt with were so helpful. They walked us through a variety of options that fit what we were looking for and our budget (ok maybe a little over our budget) and we even were able to memo some of the rugs, one of which we ended up buying.

My wife and I are so happy we found Modern Rugs LA and we will definitely be using them for all of our future rug purchases. The owner and every employee we came across were so friendly and helpful. My wife had her eye on a specific rug on Wayfair.com and they made us a custom rug with that same design and even price matched. Even if we moved out of LA, we'd order from Modern Rugs because they were so nice. Highly recommended!

Just picked up a beautiful rug from here a few days ago. The place had a great selection in contemporary rugs. What I really appreciated was that the owner, Sasha, literally went through nearly every rug explaining the different types fibers and how they would suit my needs as well as the process of how each rug is actually made. At one point, seeing my momentary indecisiveness, one of his employees quickly photoshopped up what a few would look like in my living room (I had taken a photo of a my couch I'm trying to pair it to before leaving the house).

There is a lot next to the store..we missed it and parked at a $5/15min parking structure.

Awesome owner and employees...great value and selections. Their rugs are high quality and the guy that helped us gave some helpful recommendations. We ended up getting something that I really liked.
They also have the cutest dog Toby!! I'm giving them 5 stars for that...lol just kidding.
If you need a new rug, go ask for Toby. ;) jk...
