John was, and remains, convinced that a tile installation company should know how to handle all types of tile, marble, granite, and pavers. In addition, John believes all installers should work to continuously develop new and creative ideas to solve problems. With John's philosophy setting the course, Erin Albrecht has taken the lead on continuing J&R's focus of educating our staff and the industry.

The Ceramic Tile Education Foundation (CTEF) provides education and installer certification for professionals working in the ceramic tile and stone industry. The CTEF Certified Tile Installer (CTI) program is the only third-party assessment of installer skill and knowledge which is recognized by the tile industry.
This 119,456 Sq Ft Midtown High-Rise needed an update. No Demo? No Problem. A new floor can bring new life to a building and space. Large Gauged Porcelain Panels are the answer. These are 30"x60" and are 1/4" in thickness, straight from Italy with our direct importing capabilities. Tile technology in 2018 with skilled labor can make remodeling painless.

5+ years of tile experience as foreman/lead (Large Gauged Porcelain Tile/Kerdi&Wedi/self-leveling/membranes/mud floors and walls/large format/lippage control systems experience a plus). At J&R Tile, we only promote from within. All our setters and installers began as an apprentice and become eligible for promotion to installer once they complete the certification process of becoming a CTI.

The team at J&R Tile did an excellent job and were just in time fitting my project into their project schedule. I would not hesitate to recommend them or utilize them again on my next project. The work at my home was more than cosmetic, it was also about functionality to enable me to care for a disabled, wheelchair bound family member. I had one shower remodeled to raise the step in shower to become a zero entry shower. They also removed carpet from all bedrooms, living room, and office and replaced it with a resilient LVT knowing the flooring will need to withstand daily wheelchair and rolling

Did quality tile work in my home! With one phone call, they were at my house the next morning, finished the job the same day, and taught me all I needed to know to keep my tile clean and well cared for.
J&R Tile had great customer service and even better craftsmanship! Very knowledgeable and they pride themselves on staying up to date and educated on the latest trends in the tile industry.

Great products and really knowledgeable people at J&R. They care to help you make the best decision on installation and which materials you go with. They didn't sell me, they taught me the differences so I could make the best choice for me. Plus all their installers are certified tile installers so you know it's going to look great.

If I wrote a book about this project it would start with rage and panic over the contractor who ditched me a month before the installation of a publicly funded project.Enter a kindly architect who recommended J & R Tile. Then magically appearing and calmly and professionally dispelling all my fears, came Linda."We can do that.No worries." She handled every hand-wringing moment of a panicky, freaked client with utmost care and attention. Communication? check! Information? Check! Does what she says she'll do? Double check!!! This is a fantastic locally owned and operated business. Their staff hosted my group of Cub Scouts who were learning about Engineering. They walked them through a "Day at J&R Tile", showed them how to prep tile and allowed them to make their own tile layout. Eris and her team are true professionals and represent the very best of San Antonio businesses.
