I'm working to put together information that will give you a look not only into our childcare, but also about childcare options and resources in general, including information about finding the right childcare for your family.
I have been providing child care in San Diego for over 18 years and welcome you to use me as a resource for any questions that your family has encountered. My goal is to work closely with each individual family, both when starting at Cuddles Academy Childcare and throughout your time in our program.

Services
My Childcare began when. I first made the decision to become a childcare provider in 2003. Because I had already been working out of my home, I had gotten into the routine of watching children for friends on a semi-regular basis. Friendly gists of "you should do this full time!" My days now consist of building castles and forts, reading a story at naptime, & wiping away tears after the latest booboo.
Every time a child is present in the moment and participating in a skill they are internalizing and making new connections to the world around them. We provide everything a child needs to prepare for kindergarten. Every day we learn through play. We take advantage of learning opportunities such as sorting balls by color, blocks by size, making patters, or simple addition while serving our food.
As your infant grows, we will give them time to do for themselves. This starts very simple with such things as offering times that we are not jumping in to help when they are stretching and trying to reach a toy, or stretching to their side to try to roll over.
While we are always close by ready to lessen frustration and assist when needed, giving babies the space to achieve things independently creates opportunities for them to both experience the feeling of accomplishment and to see that they can have an affect on the world around them.Covering mouth and washing hands are also encouraged from day one.

These times are flexible. For example, we may come in from outside at 10:00 and choose a more relaxing activity. And, of course, the coming and going of parents & children will be accommodated as we work together to schedule around your needs. Notice that this schedule does not show transition periods.

Ms. Megan is the best! She has created a very welcoming place for kids and parents. I love how clean and safe Cuddles Academy is. She is very caring and has been very open to work with us throughout my son's different stages. From the beginning I could see right away the social skills my son developed and how independent he started to be and feel. He was always excited to go see Ms. Megan. We are very grateful she has been a part of our son's early life.

Megan is absolutely wonderful! Our 2 year old daughter was at Cuddles Acadamy for 10 months, and Megan was so patient with her. My daughter learned how to be so much more self sufficient - she can wash her hands, put on her shoes and clean up toys and messes all on her own. During COVID, Megan took precautions that made our family feel comfortable. If we hadn’t moved to north county, we would definitely have kept our daughter with Megan long-term. We highly recommend Megan!

My son went to Cuddles Academy for 4 years. During his 4 years Megan taught him colors, letters, how to spell his name and so many other fun things. The days were structured with free play, art time, outside time and a theme of the week. We loved that Megan would get down on my son’s level and talk to him to try and help him solve any promblem he might have been having. If we were still in San Diego we wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Cuddles Academy.

Our son John attended Cuddles Academy for almost 3 years (2-5 years old) and our daughter Sophia attended for over a year (5 months-1.5 years old) and Cuddles Academy has been a dream daycare. Everything we could have ever wished for. Ms. Megan has become like a second mommy, treating our children like her own with her loving atmosphere and nurturing ways. She has taught our son all of his numbers, letters, and every week they focused on a new subject (such as food groups, individual planets and space, dinosaur, etc) and we loved how structured his learning was. The meals were always very nutritious

We had our son at Cuddles Academy for nearly 4 years. He loved going there. Great atmosphere and lots of interaction with other kids. He learned so much about letters/number/colors etc from Megan at the Childcare. We can't thank her enough. We would have enrolled our baby daughter into the daycare as well but we moved out of town. Thank you so much Cuddles Academy, you will be missed.
