Working with damaged or improperly fitting Fine Jewelry requires an eye for detail and knowledge of several metalworking techniques depending on the original method of production. Dasheen can re-size and repair both old and new Jewelry, and we are confident that you will be highly satisfied with our capabilities.
Dikran will sit down with you to understand what you have in mind. With pencil and pad, ideas are sketched, stones and metals are chosen, and a truly unique piece of Jewelry starts it's journey. I have become one of Dasheen Jewelry Studios newest and loyal clients!
I do not know anything about designing jewelry. I wanted a custom ring but couldn't wrap my head around exactly what it was that I wanted. The words were hard to find. So I started showing Dikran pictures of different designs that I pulled up from the internet. He asked me all the right questions and was so extremely patient in his discovery process.
Shortly after our first meet, he was able to show me his idea, and we went for it right away!!
Our communication was great the entire time! Everything went perfect. I

My husband's ring got stuck on his finger and we could not get it off no matter what we did. We were so panicked and found out an experienced jeweler would be able to remove it. I called Dasheen Jewelry Studio and was assured that they'd be able to take it off. My husband immediately left work to get it done and it was done incredibly fast and efficiently. He spoke very highly of the staff and said Dikran was super kind, super helpful, and made ease out of a scary experience. Thank you all so much!

OK so crazy story... when I was twelve (many years ago) I found a diamond ring at SeaWorld on the ground during my family vacation. I turned it in and no one claimed it and they sent it to me....it was hideous. It's been sitting in a bank for 30 years. I never wanted to sell it so I took it all over San Diego asking jewelers what I should do with it. They all said I had to design it myself and they could make it. I needed more help than that! The best jeweler in San Diego, ever! Dikran is such a warm, personable jeweler and I'm so glad that I found him through yelp. He treats every customer like a long time friend and I will continue to go to him for all my jewelry needs.
He mostly does custom work but he will do repairs and cleanings (which is what I've mostly used him for)...and his prices are very reasonable. I can't wait to get a custom piece from him. I would gladly recommend him to all my friends.

Every step of the process went so smoothly, which included Dikran sitting down with me to discuss the design, to phone calls and Emails with photos (as I live out of San Diego), and with him mailing my ring to me just as promised.

My partner purchased me an antique platinum ring from 1910. It is an exceptional piece but the main stone was loose and needed an extremely talented craftsmen to make secure and reset in the same Edwardian style. Dikran is a master of his trade. He is kind, a great listener and very calming. The work he did was so perfect that we asked him to build my wedding band from scratch. I picked up my forever piece today and cried. I've been looking for a place that can repair silver earrings that my mom gave me and I broke a couple months back. I finally found Dasheen! Everywhere else I went to was mainly gold repairs. Also told me they couldn't fix the earrings. I came here and he immediately told me he could fix it. On top of that I was looking for a silver necklace to fit my small pendant, there wasn't one that fit but he made it fit and even trimmed the necklace for me to where I like it. My experience working with Dikran was amazing! I first came into Dikran's shop with a vague idea on the engagement ring that I wanted. He listened to my interests and concerns and advised me on how to go about researching further on my own.
Once I decided which direction I wanted to go with the ring, he was there to help provide me with the necessary guidance to make my vision come to life. He was always available to meet and very kind and amiable, chatting with me about music and soccer.
In the end, the ring turned out beautiful and my fiance loves it! I'm very thankful to have found this jewelry

Dikran is the absolute best. When my fiancé and I first came to Dikran, we had an image in mind of what we wanted for my engagement ring and wedding band. Dikran was able to create exactly what we wanted. He kept us in the loop throughout the entire process, was honest about everything and truly cared about our experience.

A year ago, my fiancé and I decided to have my engagement ring made by an experienced jeweler. I asked around and found out about Dikran and his skills. When you start the process of designing an engagement ring it takes a few visits to figure out what you want as well as Dikran making sketches and a wax model of your idea. He's super knowledgeable and you never feel like he's using terms you don't understand. Everything is explained clearly (especially for people like us that knew very little going in) and you feel comfortable the whole time. This was super important to us because

Dikran custom made my engagement ring and our wedding bands. They are beautiful and so special to us. He was fantastic to work with and helped us to design the rings that we want to wear for the rest of our lives. The quality of our jewelry is second to none. Dikran came highly recommended to us when we were starting the wedding ring design. Every single part of the wish list was talked through with us. We designed, picked diamonds, and had the best attention to detail to get us exactly what we wanted. It was so much fun to talk everything though so that it was personal to us.
I went with a more non-traditional stack of bands and the whole process was so fun! I am in love with our rings and I get so many compliments on the style we went with.

I wish I took a before photo so that I could show how much love my ring needed. My mom gave me a ring she had for 20+ years. It's a vintage art deco style but before wearing it, I wanted to make sure it was so in good condition for many more years.
Dasheen did such an incredible job. He (a master jeweler) tightened my loose stones, re-tipped the worn prongs, repolished and rhodium plated the ring to bring it back to life. My ring looks incredible. Plus, it was done with more than a reasonable price. Chain retailers would have charge double!

I took some loose stones to Dasheen Jewelry Studio and asked him what he could do with them - he designed a dazzling set of earrings and a pendant necklace! The designs were very elegant and exactly what I was looking for. Dikran worked with us every step of the way to ensure he was designing the perfect piece for me. He offers excellent customer service and top notch knowledge on all types of stones and metals! He has a showcase of his personal designs on display in his studio to choose from or he is more than capable to design the perfectly unique piece for you!!
