Ramah Darom
Welcome to a place where laughter abounds, where everyone feels welcome, where friendships are formed, and where every day brings new opportunities to celebrate Jewish life. Ramah Darom presents a rare opportunity for each of us to support an endeavor that will have a dramatic impact on the lives of our children, our children's children and beyond.

When you donate to Ramah Darom, you are investing in a Jewish future.
Services
In 1994 a group of enthusiastic supporters gathered in Charlotte, NC to launch the creation of a new southeastern location to join the national family of Ramah summer camps.

The group funded a feasibility study that would ultimately lead to the creation of a world-class year-round facility and an expanded mission to include a Ramah camp in the summer and additional programs throughout the year designed to inspire a lifelong love of Jewish values, tradition and community for youth, adults and families.
Adventure, connection, friendship, fun and joyful Judaism await in the North Georgia mountains! Camp Ramah Darom is a place where laughter abounds, friendships are formed, everyone feels welcome and each day brings new opportunities to celebrate Jewish life. Here, children have fun and are challenged to reach new heights by our caring and supportive staff.
Registration for Kayitz (Summer) 2022 is OPEN for new and returning families!

In addition to 4 and 8-week Camp sessions, Gesher Leadership Development Institute, a range of Tikvah Support for our campers and young adults with disabilities, Ramah Darom now offers three ways for younger campers to step up to a 4-week experience: Ta'am (Taste) of Ramah, a 5-night program for rising 2nd graders; Garinim, an 11-night program for rising 3rd graders; and Nitzanim K'tzara (Short), an 18-night modified session for rising 4th graders.
Ramah Darom is an open, supportive and inclusive environment, welcoming campers, staff, families and friends with diverse abilities, backgrounds, ethnicities, and gender/sexual identities. Ramah Darom's Henry and Annette Gibson Tikvah Support Program supports campers with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, communication disorders, ADHD, anxiety disorders and other disabilities.
A one-of-a-kind program for families with children with autism spectrum disorder between the ages of 6 and 13. Camp Yofi is a nationally-recognized, one-of-a-kind program for families with children with autism spectrum disorder between the ages of 6 and 13. Parents, grandparents, and siblings are invited to attend and all families, regardless of denomination or affiliation, are welcome!

Family Camp is incredible. An actual VACATION for a family (not just a trip.) Stunning scenery, a variety in programming, top notch food that accommodates all needs including vegan, kosher, and gluten free. Not just activities for the family together, but separate kids camp and adults camp, so everyone can relax/be engaged. Nightly shmira (babysitting) so adults can go play and have a cocktail. In our couple of visits there, we've enjoyed glass blowing, archery, aromatherapy creations, pickle making bar, tower climbing, cooking classes, silent disco, improv... It's fantastic!

We rented Ramah Darom for a 3-day wedding + camp weekend in October of 2021, and it was AMAZING! We couldn't recommend Ramah Darom more highly. It created the most magical, meaningful wedding weekend to have 3 days full of food, fun, and activities together, where our guests could stay on site (guests of the older generation were very comfortable in the hotel rooms, and our friends had a blast staying together in the cabins) and we could have free reign of this gorgeous camp to spend time together. The staff at Ramah were amazing (literally, they are now our friends and aren't getting rid of us

Ramah Darom is an awesome camp. We have attended “Camp Yofi” family camp, and sent our kids to sleep away, for 15 years. The location is gorgeous and the staff is the best!!

My kids all went to Camp Ramah Darom without knowing a single camper. They came home four weeks later begging me to promise that they can go back next year. They loved it.

My son, Daniel, just did Taste session 1. I cannot say enough great things about this camp! I was very transparent about his needs and this camp met them all. They truly went above and beyond! Special thank you to Sandie in the kitchen, Audra, Shira and ALL of Daniel’s AMAZING counselors!
