Only sterile disposable needles are used. Because of the training an Acupuncturist receives, acupuncture is very safe. If a comprehensively trained acupuncturist performs the treatment, your safety is assured. Acupuncture needles are very thin. Most people do not find the insertion of such hair fine needles to be painful.
Acupuncture can be helpful in promoting good health and in treating patients with a broad range of health problems. Acupuncture is often used alone or in combination with other complementary or conventional medicine treatments. Dr. Zhou also offers Chinese herbal medicine and Tui-Na massage in conjunction with acupuncture for maximal results.

I have suffered from sinus issues for more than 2 decades. My symptoms in the past were always diagnosed by MDs as severe sinusitis or rhinitis and always prescribed prednisone and strong antibiotics like levaquin. I have been dealing with ulcerative colitis (an unpleasant digestive autoimmune disease) for 14 years- it is one of the conditions that western medicine is able to help with in a limited way- I go out of my way to seek help from acupuncture and other modalities in eastern medicine. Dr Zhou has been a tremendous help for me; he is knowledgeable at what he does and recommends different herbs and teas based on my symptoms that have brought me much faster relief than even prednisone has

I stayed at a local hospital for four days due to a vertical headache. The doctors at the hospital could not determine the cause of my headache. The headache was so unbearable that I could not stand or sit more than three seconds. I opted out a suggested invasive procedure, blood patch, because I was getting better every day. The Acupuncture and Herb Center has been wonderful. Dr. Zhou is caring and really goes the extra mile for his patients. I sought acupuncture initially for infertility but found it has improved my overall well-being.

This is the absolute best place to come for acupuncture and the full spectrum of traditional Chinese medicine in my opinion! You can't go wrong with seeing a specialist who is Chinese and learned the art from where this practice originated! Needless to say, the doctor here is very knowledgable about the practice of Chinese medicine and has also had extensive experience teaching Chinese medicine in South Florida. He takes time to answer any of your questions and works with you to find the best option. Make an appointment and you get seen on time, a rarity in Miami in my experience. The service
