Sweet Root Village began over a glass of wine and dreams of a creative and wonderful future doing what we love most: floral design and building community. Our studio space in Alexandria, VA is where all the magic happens. We have an amazing team that shares our passion for life and for people, and we couldn't be more grateful for the bonds we've formed and friendships made over the years!

Sweet Root Village created an absolutely beautiful arch for our backyard wedding ceremony and positioned it perfectly. It was the star of the show! They thought about the approach to building it - and prepared in advance so as to minimize the time outside in the heat and best protect the flowers and greenery. It looked amazing. The bouquet and table centerpieces were fantastic as well. What a creative, dedicated team!

My wife and I met Lauren at one of our friends weddings and we liked her style and pictures which followed. We wanted to have a photo session since we do not have too many pictures of just two of us. Lauren did an absolutely awesome job and was really easy to be around. We also ordered a photo book which looks absolutely stunning. I highly recommend Sweet Root Village!

Sweet Root Village is phenomenal. After one look at their portfolio I made the easy decision to hire them as our wedding day florist. For our wedding flowers I was hoping for a traditional (yet whimsical) and classic (without being stuffy) look and the SRV made the vision come to life! During our consultation I had no idea how to describe my vision, but the SRV team listened and were able to translate my rough descriptions into the most beautiful sketch to give me an idea of what the arrangements could look like. Perfection. The beautiful flowers that Sweet Root Village provided for my client's wedding this weekend at River Farm were unmatchable. From the centerpieces to the floral chandelier that SRV crafted to the extra little things that they did to ensure that the event space was truly something that was breathtakingly beautiful.
