Fueled by an intense passion for construction and known for his strong integrity, in 1960, Dean Swank established Swank Enterprises in a small back office in his father's lumber yard in Valier, Montana. Since this early start Dean and his son's have steadily grown the company for the last six decades.
Still family-owned and operated, today Swank Enterprises employs over 170 employees in four offices - Kalispell, Valier, Missoula and Billings. It is the culture of integrity Dean established back in the 60's that continues to drive our company today.

Since 1960 Swank Enterprises has been one of the most recognized and respected commercial construction firms in the Northwest. From our headquarters in Montana, we serve Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Washington state. Swank offers a full range of management services and self-perform much of the work with our trained crews ensuring quality, on-time delivery and budget control.
Swank Enterprises is a full service construction company covering the healthcare, education, industrial, government, private commercial sectors, historical renovations and is a LEED accredited company. Swank Enterprises provides different contract delivery methods from Construction Manager to GC/CM, design Build and the traditional general contractor.
The construction manager is paid by the owner to act in the interests of the owner overseeing the construction process through design and construction. Benefits - The construction manager controls the scope of the work which prevents delays, changes and disputes during the construction phase. The CM enables optimum use of the owner budget and enhances the design and construction quality by bringing in construction expertise early in the design.
Swank Enterprises is a very hands-on GC/CM. We believe in self-performing much of the work to allow us to better control schedule, quality and safety. It's quite a bit more effort to self-perform rather than hire someone else to do it, however, there are tremendous savings in cost with our overhead, supervision and equipment already paid for.
Swank Enterprises is dedicated to making minimal impact on the environment during construction. Having many certified LEED buildings we use sustainable practices on all our projects from recycling to minimize waste, sourcing local materials to protecting air quality systems during construction.
Swank Enterprises has 13 USGBC certified projects: two LEED-Platinum Certified buildings, five Certified Gold, two buildings Certified Silver and four pending Certification.Many of our project managers are LEED associates.
