Your lessons and repertoire are customized to suit you. You'll learn at your own pace in a fun, no pressure environment, and you're welcome to bring songs you'd like to learn. Included with your lessons, you'll also get the opportunity to perform in recitals twice a year, email support, weekly lesson notes, progress reports, recordings, performance classes, fun learning activities and supplemental music!
Amber Chiang is a voice and piano instructor, professional singer/songwriter who knew she wanted to spend her life doing music. Renowned for her beautiful, melodious voice, Amber delights audiences with her song interpretations and jazz stylings. Mixed in with jazz standards, she often performs her own compositions which tell a story of her life relationship experiences.
With young children, sit with them for the first few months of lessons, as often as possible. I like to call it "Play Time" instead of "Practice." Children need help in developing the discipline to practice on their own. 2. If possible, choose the same time everyday. For example, each day right before bed is great so the brain can digest while sleeping.
My music is drawn from my life experiences. My influences are mostly from jazz artists, a combination of Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn and Betty Carter, as well as Latin influences from various Brazilian artists. I also grew up listening to rock, folk and pop. So, at times, the music is a mixture of genres.
Amber has been teaching my daughter for about six months and has helped her make great progress. She is a great teacher. Mrs. Chiang is a wonderful piano teacher- she always answers my questions in a way that I am able to easily understand. I love how she always makes sure that I fully understand the concept and the basics of what we are learning.

Ms. Amber is an amazing teacher!! Patient, kind and a veteran in her field, she knows exactly how to guide her student even through online classes. My daughter takes vocal classes with her and she is having a great time singing and learning. I am also very grateful for Ms. Amber's notes and lesson summary each week and her progress reports on how the student is doing. Further, the programs/ recitals she arranges for kids adds as an additional motivation and encouragement for students. We are very glad that we found Ms. Amber as Natasha's teacher!!!

I am so thankful that I found Amber to help me with my singing! Truly a blessing. I am very happy with the progress I've been making as I am continuing to take lessons with her. She is very knowledgeable and gives good, practical, and helpful tips about how to practice and what to work on. The exercises we would do at our lessons and her tips on how and what to practice really helped me overcome barriers with singing that I once had. Very grateful for where she has helped brought me to with my singing. Five stars! :)

Amber is a vastly experienced and knowledgeable teacher. She tailored the lessons to my specific needs - someone returning to piano after 20 years - and provided a wide range of learning materials, from specific technique exercises to book recommendations and music theory guides/handouts. Her lessons were structured and well organised but also flexible enough to change direction/focus when called for. Amber is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend her!

Amber is a wonderful piano teacher! My kids have enjoyed taking lessons with her. They had no prior piano/music experience but she made them feel comfortable very quickly. She is very patient and flexible. Although we've paused lessons due to the pandemic, we are looking forward to resuming in-person lessons again very soon.

Amber is a great teacher! She's the perfect teacher for someone who wants to learn to sing classic songs with proper, classic technique as opposed to contemporary radio music. I took classes as an adult with zero experience and she made my lessons just the right mix of challenging and doable. And they always felt completely tailored to my needs/ability. Whatever you're struggling with/need extra work on, she has an exercise for it!

Ms. Amber is a fantastic piano teacher! She focuses her lessons on areas of piano that you want to work and improve on, making it very personal and beneficial for individual students. She always makes sure to help me understand the piano theory for every piece, and I found this extremely helpful, as music theory is an area I am working to improve in. She still helps and provides me with resources for any further questions I may have, which has been super helpful for me. Ms. Amber has helped me build my skills overall as a piano player and a singer!
