If you are looking for plants this is the place to go! Healthy and gorgeous variety on the property. They have it organized and are helpful with any questions you may have. Prices are good compared to many others.
You will enjoy walking and smelling the scents as you search for what you want.
We landscaped our property inexpensively, and got items not found at the box stores. Wish my yard was large enough for the topiary shaped like a heart, moon and star! Help support this local nursery stop in- you will not be disappointed.

What a fabulous nursery. I prefer purchasing from local businesses and was so happy Loen nursery was first on my list and I never got to the others. Their veggie starts are healthy and well established. And most importantly well tended. There was an excellent variety such as Japanese Black Trifele tomatoes which are hard to find. There are a good variety of trees and shrubs with designated areas well marked. Kristen was a terrific help and strong armed heavy bags of hazelnut mulch for me to my car. Although it was a bit past closing as I was finishing up, I didn't feel rushed.

The older woman cashier is very rude. Honestly, lady, drop the attitude. You might lose all your customers soon.
With 30 mins before closing, the lady is rushing me out the door, constantly reminding us that they are about to close. I get it... you're about to close, but do you want any business at all? I was about to spend $350 on 1 tree... please be respectful to your customers.

Years ago (late 80's/early 90's?), I found Loen Nursery since they were available to do a plant fund raiser for our community library in Raleigh Hills. That drew me out to their retail location on Hwy 99. The retail location is excellent (I've been gardening in the Portland metro area since 1983 and I know from nurseries) and has terrific sales at the end of the season, if your budget is tight and you can wait that long. Also, since I bought a house at the coast (.6 ac) in 2016, I have really needed a source to fill my blank slate of a yard with quality plant material. With a

I had a similar experience to the person with the Living Social gift card where Loen lured me to a 50% off sale only to charge full price.
Loen ran ads in the paper stating that every Saturday in October they would sell nursery items at half price. The ad specifically listed ground covers as being included in the sale. My wife and I do not live in Sherwood. We set aside an entire Saturday afternoon to drive out to their nursery, spent more than an hour researching by iPhone the types of ground cover they had available, loaded the car, and went to check out. We waited a long time at the counter

Loen Nursery is a spacious, beautiful place to get your plants. They divide their plants into sections....fruit trees, succulents, etc. There are statues scattered throughout and a small section where you can buy statues and pots. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the rose garden a lot. As I stated before, this place is pretty large, so if you are going with a friend and you split up, you might not run into them for quite some time. There are so many different kinds of plants all in one nursery!

I was yelled at by the staff that I didn't sign in, after that I asked if they had Japanese lace leaf maples and he asked me if they were upright or "lower growing" maples and I repeated that they were Japanese Lace leaf Maples that I was looking for and "The boss" as he described himself at the front desk started to get mad and he said yes upright or lower growing?! I told him not to worry about it and I went out and found the Japanese lace leaf maple by myself. Today I called and asked if they have "Bing Crosby Roses" and the same "boss" said NO we

Loen is a great nursery. I have been able to find some plants here that would have costed me an arm and a leg at other nurserys. They have a gigantic selection of plants to choose from. I always stop by when I hear they are having a sale. The staff is always friendly. They go out of their way to help.

After our neighbors mentioned this nursery I have been coming here for the last 3 years and always been treated very well.
Some customers may feel that they are quite expensive but their selection is extensive You are paying for convenience and selection. You do not have to settle from a small selection. Recently I was looking for a certain maple and visited a couple nurseries. Those nurseries did not carry this maple species so I stopped at Loen and there it was. .
From common fruit tree varieties to Persimmon trees, table and wine grapes, vines to herbs, evergreen and deciduous trees. Many

What a dissapointing experience. This could have easily been a 4 start experience if it weren't for my Living Social gift card that I had bought. A couple of months ago I got a Living Social email that told me I could pay $20 for a $40 "voucher" at Loen Nursery. I love a good deal so I bought one for myself and one for the hubby knowing that in the spring we would need to some serious gardening.
Come today after spending an hour picking out the perfect blue berry bushes (normally $20 but marked down to $10) when I was informed that they would have to charge me the full price

Someday when I have my palatial estate, I will definitely consider coming here for my landscaping needs. For now, I have limited space so we come to dream and look for smaller plants.
This place is pretty vast, you may need to bring a trail of breadcrumbs to find your way out. My hands down favorite here were the hanging baskets. Absolutely gorgeous. Don't forget to stop and smell the roses, they have a great selection! There are cute lawn and garden ornaments scattered throughout, for instance, I rounded one corner and came face to face with a grinning Buddha sculpture! The Japanese maple

The Willamette Valley is home to many of the great plant nurseries of the world. We send those plants all over the world, and keep some too!
The source are wholesale nurseries who grow a myriad of plants in the field. That's in dirt, not pots. A good source to find them is the web site of the Oregon Association of Nurseries and their wholesale plant locator: http://www.nurseryguide.com/. (This is especially great for finding native plants, or the super weird, which you should seriously think trice before planting outside its native environment)
