Driven by a passion to explore and illuminate the genuine heart of the human condition, for over two decades Thunder River Theatre Company (TRTC) has staged works ranging from the most beloved theatre classics to the most current and cutting edge playwrights. We seek to elucidate the unspeakable, to reimagine the familiar, and to awaken the ancient bond between storyteller and tribe, actor and audience.
PrimaDonor Members are a circle of passionate theatre supporters who commit to a recurring annual gift of $1,000 or more. These gifts support year-round award-winning theatre productions, youth and adult theatre education programs, and community events such as the annual Dia de los Muertos community celebration.
Each year more than 3,000 theatregoers from Aspen to Glenwood Springs and every corner of Colorado enter Thunder River Theatre Company's doors for an exciting, award-winning theatre season from late September through early July.
Four plays are selected from a range of genres including the classics such as Shakespeare, Chekhov, Ibsen, Moliere, and the Greeks, the renowned American canon of Miller, O'Neill, Williams and Shepard, and diverse contemporary voices such as Reza, Howe, Mamet, Guare, Hatcher, and many others.
