I have been in practice for almost 18 years. Since my accountant passed a way eight years ago . It has been a challenge to find an accountant that is reliable , knowledgeable, and efficient . I specifically did not like the way I had been billed. No explanation of why I had to pay so much !! And when asked for brake down, it was provided to me reluctantly. To my surprise I was being charged for every little text , email or call even though it was only to make sure documents are correct and they got it .

Our CPA Blake at Scottsdale CPAs far exceeded our expectations!! Our long time family CPA unfortunately passed away unexpectedly from COVID-19 and we were scrambling to find another firm to file our taxes. I came to Scottsdale CPAs when my previous CPA came to their organization. My CPA retired and this office has taken care of me ever since. Darren first met me a few years back and met me on short notice when I needed something.
When he saw what I was doing at my new business in 2016 he recognized I needed a planning session. In that session he made me realize I had to pay myself per IRS guidelines. Even though I was not actually profiting (putting money in my pocket) on paper I was. Fast forward to COVID19 and the PPP program...because I was paying myself a salary, no matter how small it was.

Our tax return is complicated due to many factors and working with Blake was a real pleasure. He was always very responsive and knowledgeable. Their software allows everything to be done through secure portals and remotely. Never fun to write checks for taxes but Blake made it less painful!!

Fantastic Firm! Blake has been doing my taxes for the last 3-4 years, and I've never been happier with a CPA. He has been amazing at ensuring that my taxes are done in not only a quick but also efficient and professional manner.
In addition, I really appreciate how much time he always spends in explaining to me the different laws and regulations regarding my business...and all about potential savings (no matter the time of day!).
