I graduated from University of Bridgeport, Fones School of Dental Hygiene with a Bachelor's of Science. I have been with the practice for over 20 years. I love connecting with my patients, trying to figure out together how we can take the time in our busy lives to care for our dental needs. After all, whole body health begins with a healthy mouth.
I am excited to have this opportunity to introduce myself to all of you, my name is Anshu S. Kumar. I have purchased the office of Dr. Gary W. Volz. What is in fact so exciting to me is how similar Dr. Volz and I truly are, we even have the same birthday. While selecting an office we were advised to look for somebody of equal ethics, compassion and core dental skills.
Deena at the front desk should be cloned for all other medical providers. She went above and beyond when we made our first appointments. Liz was wonderful with my 5 yr old and Dr. Kumar is very thorough -Very good first impression. Dr. Kumar is first and foremost professional, thorough and competent.
Since every mouth and its needs are different, it is hard to determine the cost of treatment until after you have had an examination. At that time, Bright Smile Dentistry will diagnose you and discuss potential treatments. Then we will put together a comprehensive treatment plan so that together we can figure out how to proceed.

I’ve been going to the same practice all of my life starting with Dr Kiniry, then Dr Volz when he took over practice and now after his retirement, Dr Kumar. She is an excellent, caring, gentle, knowledgeable dentist! Like a lot of people, I have “dental phobia”, thank goodness the staff always takes great care of me. They are top-notch, friendly and personable Highly recommend!

I’ve never been a fan of the dentist but Dr. Kumar is wonderful and makes the experience enjoyable (at least for a dentist visit)! Liz, the dental hygienist that I see every appointment, is the reason Ive been coming back for years! She’s incredibly personable and makes every appointment feel like I’m visiting and catching up with a friend. She does a great job and gives me great tips to keep my teeth feeling clean and looking white. I cannot say enough great things about this place and will continue to keep going for years to come!

Dr. Kumar is the best ! :) Her and her staff always make me feel welcomed and comfortable. Dr. Kumar also does a great job in her explanations to the patient. Before we start the work I know exactly what's going on. She is very good at breaking things down in a way that is easy to understand. Always a good experience.
