Aardvark Tattoo Company is an all custom tattoo shop. Every piece we do is drawn up one of a kind for the client. We specialize in portraits, photo-realism, new school, feminine tattoos, cover ups, lettering, and creating original artwork for our clients. Too often in the tattoo industry the client's desires are overshadowed by the ego of their artist.
The tattoo industry is also plagued by discrimination, and that can impact the quality of the piece as well as the experience. This can be an intimidating prospect when it comes to something you'll wear for a lifetime. We want to offer you something different. It is our goal to bring your ideas and sensibilities to the surface, even if they aren't the same as ours.

My experience working on this piece with Risa over the last year was absolutely the best. Risa just has this way of taking a client's idea and turning it into a piece of art, far exceeding the original expectation. She listened to me, asked just the right questions, explained what needed explaining, focused on the details, and got to know me as a person. Honestly my appointments at Aardvark and chats with Risa got me through the darkest parts of 2020. I don't know if I would have made it otherwise. The rest of the staff were on point as well! Loved the new tattoo I got from here yesterday! I came in with a friend a week or two ago and saw how Dan did an amazing job on her tattoo and wanted one from him myself. I had a family friend draw up a picture of my design and Dan tweaked it to make it look even better. Music choice for the appointment was great, the detail on the finished product was awesome and all around a great experience. Highly recommend Dan at this shop for your next tattoo.

I am torn with this review. My friend and I went in to get matching small tattoos on our ankles. We chose this location because of its good reviews. We wanted something small and simple . Dan was the artist we saw. He was about 20 minutes late but we all know life happens.. He sketched up a piece that was cute. The music he played was so loud I had to walk outside to answer a phone call. I am hoping he was just having a bad day because this was the most impersonal tattoo I’ve ever had. I was excited to find some great jewelry here, but unfortunately, they were the wrong size. One set of tunnel plugs was labeled 5/8, but was really 9/16, which was too small.
The smaller tunnels that I also purchased was marked as 6g, but was actually 4g.
While their prices are good, it's not so good when you receive not just one, but two wrong sizes.
My partner called and left a message, but didn't receive a return call to address the situation.
If you buy body jewelry here, I suggest you verify that the size shown is the actual size.

Had my septum pierced with Paul and overall it was a great experience! I was nervous so he had me breath for a bit and was very reassuring while making small talk. The piercing part was very quick and he had my jewelry in before I could think twice. I was pleasantly surprised how easily he managed to find the sweet spot, especially since the cartilage in my nose comes out a bit far and was concerned that the placement might be too low. Came out perfectly though! :D

My sister wanted us to get matching tattoos with my mom. She had been tattooed here previously and I liked the half sleeve she had gotten done so we sent her artist our idea of a flower with daughter/mother as the stem. Tattoo shop is clean, organized and professional. Relaxed atmosphere. My mom went first and got hers on her wrist. Immediately she started groaning in pain and the artist never stopped to ask if maybe she was going to deep or if she wanted her stop. I went in and asked her to stop and checked in with my mom to see what the problem was and she said she didn't remember it hurting
