Hedman Drilling was founded in 1949 by the four Hedman brothers; Wayne, the twins, Dean and Gene, and Kenny in Sacramento, California. After each had drilled his own well, they were called on to drill wells all over California, from the Oregon border to the Mojave Desert.
By the early 1960's each brother was busy running his own operation from environmental drilling and municipal wells to test boring at Aerojet and underground utilities for major developments.The Hedman brothers were well known and respected throughout the water well and construction industries. In 1974, Ron Hedman joined his dad, Gene and his uncle Dean at D. Hedman & Company in Florin Town, California.

Used Hedman Drilling twice several months ago. We worked with John and he was very quick to arrive both times. The first was for a pre existing repair from a well inspection on our recently purchased home. The second time was much more of an emergency situation shortly after when our pump unfortunately detached and they had to pull up all 200 feet of pipe. John discovered that a previous repair performed by an unknown company that was not done correctly. He addressed the issue to ensure our pump would be much less likely to separate again. By far the best out there in our region. We have trusted them since we purchased our home, and we had zero experience with a well.
Friendly, affordable, honest....just what you want! Our well pump crashed and they had us up and running with a new one the very next day. Really a fabulous company, and I would recommend them without any hesitation.

John Sharp with Hedman Drilling came out to inspect my well and he performed a flow test. I really appreciated his great customer service over the phone prior to his onsite visit. He returned calls promptly and made every effort to get to my property as soon as he could. It was raining when he arrived but that didn't phase him. He quickly went to work and answered all my questions while he inspected and repaired my older well. He fixed what needed to be fixed and the price was pleasantly reasonable. For that kind of service and expertise I suspected I would pay more. I'm not calling anyone else

These guys get it. Customer service, knowledge, and exceptional craftsmanship. They went above and beyond when I needed repairs. And they came out when they were super busy and Frankensteined it together until they could fit me in. John who did most of the work was so friendly and walked me through each step and answered all my questions thoroughly and patiently. You get what you pay for, they are worth every penny.

Since the drought, I had been thinking about having my own water well. I knew most well drillers would be busy, so I planed on a long lead time. I called a few places & got a general idea what to expect. When I called Hedman, I got someone who could answer every question. Honestly, their lead time was a little longer than the others. Their price was similar, but they explained it so much better, I went with them. They showed up on time & did the job like they promised. That's when I learned why they knew so much. It is a family business that's drilled for water in the Sacramento area before WWII

I would recommend these guys to everyone you know! We just recently completed our home, we started building it in the wettest winter and completed it in the hottest summer and I have to say that Dan Herman and Hedman drilling were the easiest part of this whole build. They understood what we needed better than we did as it was our first time building. They were even out here working in the bad weather to try and keep us on track and even though they knew we were not going to beat the rain, they committed to us when they we're going to have it done and they got it done early. When I needed my water well tested to comply with county regulations, Daniel was the one that helped me get through all the red tape. Herman has been in business for over 80 years and they know more about the Sacramento ground water than anyone. I've used them for many years and couldn't be happier.
