Stick to the beers and shots , specialty drinks were not worth it.
The S S Minnow was worth the money even for just two people, definitelycould be stretched for 4. We Absolutely enjoyed it 👍🏼! Don't forget to add horseradish to the cocktail sauce , gives it the kick your looking for, Enjoy! 🦀

Been coming here for years but thing's change and it seems not for the better terrible service smoked fish dip had so much hot sauce could not taste fish!! Left it on plate service was extremely slow waitress came back because she forgot order tried to charge more for 12 oysters by saying we bought 2 6ea orders food was slow must be new owners need to find another place.

Best seafood on the island. We had the beer steamed shrimp on two occasions and each time the food was perfect. Friendly service and very chill atmosphere.

Came here for their happy hour. Casual, fun atmosphere. Enjoyed their peel and eat shrimp the most. Also ordered the calamari, a dozen oysters (Texas), beer steamed shrimp and garlic mussels. The mussels were over cooked and broth lacked flavor and was overly oily.

The Lobster bake was to die for! I ordered extra garlic bread to dip in the butter and it was amazing. I shared this with 2 others with the calamari appetizer and we walked away full. Great portions for the prices and the staff is very friendly!

Oysters on the Half & Stone Crab Claws were excellent! So good, I'm going back tomorrow! Way yummy!

Love love this place first the staff here is amazing it's my third time in key west never tried this before but my wife was bragging about it cause I didn't come out last time and she had the raw oysters she said it was amazing so we got off the plane and went straight there amazing we didn't get raw oysters we are saving that for are next time here we are here for over a month so we will see it soon again we have mahi-mahi it's was great and stone crab oh my gosh excellent two beers we are good to go oh the forget we ordered the couch soup really good

Our waitress was very kind, attentive, and provided great service. The bar itself was very cute and in an excellent location. However the food was really disappointing. For a place with raw bar in the title, you would think the oysters would be good but they were all very poorly cleaned. The conch ceviche was lacking that “oomph” factor. The lobster egg rolls would be delicious if the lobster wasn’t in it. My Bloody Mary had a dead fly on the celery stalk.

Definitely have to update this review. We went here for happy hour and they couldn't deliver food to our table. Seriously not once, twice, but three times we didn't get food. So late we had to leave to hit sunset. We gave up the phantom BUffalo shrimp

This is the best place I have ever had for shrimp and oysters.
The best time to go is during happy hour (4:30pm-6:30pm) because there is food that is half priced (including oysters and peel & eat shrimp).
It's so fresh and yummy!
The only reason I would give 4 stars is because we went twice in a row for happy hour and the second time around, my husband ordered a shrimp po boy. It seemed like they skimped out on his meal because they gave him 5 shrimps that weren't the biggest leaving him slightly disappointed.
10/10 recommend, we will be back for more peel & eat shrimp!!!

This restaurant came with high recommendations and had good reviews but from a seafood lover; it was the worst seafood meal we have ever had.

On top of that, the service was bad, the dishes were dirty and the seafood was bland and over cooked. The drinks came warm which i has a corona and my friend had a pina colada which was practically melted.

Definitely not worth the price. We had a dozen of raw oysters which was the only good thing we had. Then the lobster rolls which was okay and our main course which was the most expensive for lunch was horrible! We had the shrimp scampi and the lobster

Fresh, delicious and great customer service.

Party of 24 was greeting happily by hostess who was quick to find tables to accommodate our group.

Dishes were brought to table hot and fresh. Oysters Rockefeller were delish! Fish and chips very fresh and no flavor of old oil typically found at other restaurants. Shrimp scampi was cooked to perfection.

Loved this place and will certainly be returning!

Excellent customer service. You can feed a massive amount of fish while eating. SEAFOOD PRICED FOR LOCATION. THEY ALSO HAVE A SHOP TO purchase shirts,shot glasses,Hoodies with zippers and pull over hoodies

We were giving a discount to come to this restaurant. Guess what we loved it! we were just here for beers or wines but end up eating food. Food was fresh and tasty and they are priced reasonably. Luckily we were there during the non-busy hour otherwise, we would not be able to get in I guess. We sat by the windows enjoying the people watch as well as the marina view. We wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. You bet we will be back!

Delicious! The oysters were gone before I realized that I ate them all… We had some food inside and also ordered take out. Everything tasted great. Will return for more if we have a chance. :)

Great happy hour menu with decent prices. Fresh oysters. Great scenery and vibes. We sat by the pier and got to see beautiful tropical fishes. Friendly staff and a good time. 3 stars because flash fried calimari looked and tasted like it was tripled fried.

Half shell is a dive-type seafood shack on the water. I came here twice and sat at the bar. Friendly locals and tourists were nice to chat with and someone had their cute dog at the bar, so it's dog friendly I believe.

Happy hour is great. My Landshark draft was 2.50. I got clams, peel and eat shrimp and Buffalo shrimp on special as well. I didn't love the peel and eat shrimp, they didn't have much of a flavor and they were a little over cooked for my liking. They texture was harder than I'm used to, so maybe it's just the kind of shrimp.

Had great time!! The bartenders are all very nice. Love that you can bring your dog. We had the oysters, conch fritters, and calamari. It was really good and everything was very fresh. We’ll definitely be going back the next time we’re in key west.

Great bar if you want to eat some seafood on the water. We were severely hungover when we got here, and this cured everything. Got some oysters, beer shrimp, and some conch ceviche just to share. The waitress really sold us on the shrimp, but they were just fine. Oysters were alright. Ceviche was interesting. Drinks were good, atmosphere was great, and the bartender was a hoot.

Always hit up happy hour at this non air conditioned, unpretentious, super casual restaurant/bar at the north end of schooner wharf. Why?, because it's one of the best food happy hours on the island and one of only a few places you can feed the crew with an assortment of half price appetizers and pitchers of beer and not break the banks. Buffalo shrimp is 5.99 and a great deal. Calamari is super light tempera bartered, conch fritters, peel and eat (warm or iced) oysters, fish dip and French fires. After spearfishing we wanted to go to a catch and cook restaurant. Unfortunately, we missed the time window on the restaurant we really wanted to go to because our buddy could not get off his phone. We found Half Shell could accommodate us. I was not happy about this because I knew it was in the touristy dock restaurant area and never looked impressive from walk-bys during previous visits to the Keys.

The ambiance has a relaxed, divey restaurant feel. Personally I like these restaurants. If you are snobby about your restaurants, this is not your place.

Best seafood in a long time. Seafood expensive but worth it.
The downfall to this restaurant is "no A/C"
But food was so good we'll go back.

We ate all appetizers, which were awesome! Tried Conch Fritters, Flash Fried Calamari, and Oysters. All were excellent! The atmosphere is cool, open air on a marina, and we like places we can stick our logos stickers. Its in a fun boardwalk style are with other shops and things. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
