We understand that many times people are not fully aware of the power of a patient portal. To enroll in the SMASA Patient Portal, you must request an enrollment token during your appointment or via our Administrator at portal@smasatx.com. You will be required to sign a consent form and provide an e-mail address for use with our SMASA Patient Portal.
Our belief is that everyone should receive that same care as the professional athletes that we treat. Dr. Paul S. Saenz, D.O. a native San Antonian, received his medical education at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, TX. He completed his Family Practice training in Phoenix, AZ followed by a Sports Medicine fellowship in Seattle, WA. He returned to San Antonio in 1988 and established himself as the city's first Primary Care Sports Medicine specialist.

Dr. Allen is Board Certified in both Foot Surgery and in Rear foot (Ankle) and Reconstructive Surgery, by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery. He has been in academic and private practice in San Antonio, TX since 2001 and is a founding partner of Sports Medicine Associates of San Antonio.

Dr. Glebus is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He completed his medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine with a special emphasis of the musculoskeletal system treating the entire person.

I can’t even leave a message so please cancel my appointment for tomorrow February 3, I am not impressed with the doctors here. I guess if you’re not a spur they don’t treat you well. My uncle is a retired doctor And I’m supposed to see Dr. Stevens, how reviews are not very good and from what they say she does not take any phone calls. My uncle who was the doctor took every phone call. I will go see a doctor it has better reviews.

I think Dr. Curtis is great on explaining things and taking care his patients. However, his staff are terrible especially the woman ROXANNE. ROXANNE is rude, she hung up the phone on me several times when I finally get her on the phone. They never answer the phone or return anyone calls. ROXANNE manager is no better than her. This is the worst experience and customer service I've ever had. The other staffs are very helpful, except Dr. Curtis staff. So terrible I have been calling all week to make a payment I cannot get anyone to answer my calls to make the payment.

My experience at SMASA was great, as was the previous visit, and both were with Dr. Santa Maria. Not only does he make you feel comfortable and at ease, but he is very knowledgeable. He is also great at communicating all the possible options of treatment that would best work for you, and also last but not least, the staff was very helpful as well!

I had bunion surgery about a month ago and have had a great experience with Dr. Allen and his staff. I just had my stitches removed today and Lilliana was amazing and I barely knew she was taking them out, no pain at all and very caring. Samantha has been great to deal with and very informative. This was the first surgery I’ve ever had and Dr. Allen and his staff have made it a very smooth process and answered all of my questions. Thank you all

Dr Lopez is our point man for joint injury assessment and treatment, or referral. Dr Lin is a pain management specialist, within the group, who provides patients with alternatives to extensive surgeries by relieving pain and restoring functionality. In addition to these very good docs are a group of other doctors who specialize in providing great care on everything from back issues to shoulder issues to knees, and probably more. I found a great level of care under one group of talented physicians.
