We're always happy to share the story. Bob Stephens and Mike Smith grew up right here in Lincoln, NE. They first became friends while attending Lincoln High School. They came together and formed Stephens & Smith Construction Co., Inc. in 1971. In the early days they focused on flatwork. Then the purchase of their first set of foundation forms was made, and shortly thereafter they began pouring concrete foundations.

I manage commercial and agricultural construction projects. We've used several concrete construction companies over the years, some good, some not so good. I will tell anyone who asks (and even some who don't ask) that the work that Stephens & Smith does is always professional and quality consistent. There is no concrete company in Lincoln that begins to rival Stephens and Smith. They do all my footings/foundations and flatwork. They are professionals that care about their work and their customers. They guys on the crews are skilled, efficient and proud of what they do. I can't say enough about how much I rely on these guys to get quality work and product for my home owners. They are truly the BEST!

My husband and I have recently completed a project with Stephens & Smith Construction. Not only were they prompt in responding in person, by phone and via email, they were EARLY to finish the work. Every one of the team members we encountered had the most excellent customer service skills and went over and above to please us! Thank you for a great patio!!!
