Working evenings and weekends for 12 years while holding down a full-time job doesn't sound like the ideal way of entering the window coverings business. It just happens to be the route taken by Jack Pitson and Mario Soulema of Aero Shade Co. Inc., Los Angeles, CA. Pitson and Soulema were working at jobs outside the industry when, in 1976, Pitson's father-in-law, Herman Blumenfeld, suggested selling mini-blinds.

I walked into AeroShade and met Chris who showed me the sample in the showroom and let me take home samples of several fabrics that I was interested in.

I'm not even a client, and now never will be. An Aero Shade van was parked outside my house this morning with the driver puffing away on a cigarette. When he finished he just threw the cigarette butt in the street. I called the store, and the person who answered the phone didn't seem too interested and made sure I knew the store wasn't open yet. She said she would tell the owner. I approached the driver and asked him to take his cigarette butt with him. He too, couldn't care less. May I come to your store and leave my trash in front of it?

I learned about Aero Shade after recently purchasing a condo that had motorized shades installed by them several years before. One shade wasn't working, a couple needed adjustments, so I called Aero Shade for help and could not have been more impressed by the customer service. They came out to take a look, got everything resolved quickly and easily, and made sure I understood how to use the system. Truly beyond the call. WONDERFUL COMPANY AND PRODUCT: Working with Aeroshade reminded me that there are still businesses--and people--around who are courteous, efficient, and reasonably priced, in addition to being highly competent. I actually like their products. I think they're quite good and pricing is competitive. But I really had a hell of a time with their sales team. First, I had a sales person that seemed to care 0% about the sale. I almost literally had to chase him down to pay for example. Then came delays, and it was just terrible service. But then, I was happy with the result. So I even referred a friend with a warning about their iffy service. She got a different sales person, and didn't have any issues. Well, I hired them again for a new project, and my, am I irritated! The new sales person was great

When looking for blinds & shutters, I asked a friend at nearby Lester Carpet for her recommendation, and she said Aero Shade is the best. She was right. Rob came out and understood exactly what I wanted. He addressed my concerns (having shutters for a sliding door and blinds on windows), and we found the perfect window treatments for my condo.
My order was ready on time (actually a little early), and installers were on time and helpful.

Simply the best. Not only was the initial purchase and installation excellent, the aftercare service is first class. Specifically, Aeroshade installed shades in every window in my home in the Hollywood Hills years ago with virtually no problems. But this week, one of my manual shades came off the roller because a small governing bead (probably the wrong word) lost a back causing the bead chain to come off the roller. I was able to put the chain back on the roller but the shade didn't go up far enough. So I called Aeroshade on Tuesday and 2 days later, today Joey arrived at my home right on time

Aero Shade is really the best in customer service and products. They installed blinds and shades in my mother's house about 12 years ago. She was still in their system! :-) One of the vertical blinds was not working any longer so Joey came right out to take a look. He tried very hard to find the exact same vertical, but they stopped making that pattern. He researched and found one the same color and almost identical pattern. We also needed a roller shade for a new smaller window in the laundry room and repair of a tilter on a 2" blind. Thought it would take longer to date of install

I called these people yesterday to set up an appointment. Lady took my phone number and told me someone would get back to me. Later that day, Rob left me a message later that day telling me when he could come.
When I called him back, the phone rang, and rang and rang and rang. No voicemail ever came on. I called back today and the lady that answered the phone said they don't have voicemail to leave a message. In this day and time, that was one of the most disgusting things I have ever heard. Who doesn't have V.M. these days? How then, do you communicate with customers?
That was a RED FLAG for
